WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Price and subscription23%

12 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ account and preferences (and subscription mgmt.) ran into a digital wall - never opened the next pg.
★★★★★ But by the time I realized that, the trial period was over.
★★★★★ It's rather frustrating to cancel an event on a google calendar and have TickTick remind you about it ad nauseam.
Bugs, things not working12%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ One month into using TickTick and they have completely broken trust with it's customers.
★★★★★ I used to like this app but I am seeing too many bugs now.
★★★★★ iIntegration with notion is a disaster, 504 gateway error message all day it doesn't matter if I do it on my phone or my computer, unless (probably the main reason why I really wanted to try this app).
Login and account problems12%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ account and preferences (and subscription mgmt.) ran into a digital wall - never opened the next pg.
★★★★★ Customer support almost non-existent, took me about 10 days to solve a pretty simple login / password issue
★★★★★ Simply wont work off line on outlook with more than 1 email account.
No customer support12%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I reached out to support, with frustrating results.
★★★★★ Customer support almost non-existent, took me about 10 days to solve a pretty simple login / password issue
★★★★★ Their support system is also weird and I have no idea whether or not somebody will ever reply to the tickets I submitted.
Missing features12%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ However, last week, when I logged into the app on a new device, a bunch of my tasks were missing, old ones had reappeared, and the due date on the majority of my tasks were from over a year ago.
★★★★★ There is no way to remove icon from my menu bar with out closing the app twice which is very annoying most all other apps let you chose to turn off this annoying icon if they have one persistently in the menu
★★★★★ Really no option to toggle this behavior on and off?
Limits, credits, locked features8%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I really wanted to like TickTick, this "designed exclusively for MacOS" 5-star app is missing the most basic keyboard shortcuts for a task management app. Want to mark a task done with the keyboard? Too bad, that…
★★★★★ They keep charging my credit card without my authorization.
★★★★★ The app fell below my expectations. - You can ony add 3 calendars max - The homepage is unitone. Ical allow me to choose a color per calendar to differentiate them and I can add as many calendars. - It is not…
Lost data, sync, backup8%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Pretty much useless without ability to sync calendars.
★★★★★ I like the idea of having a detailed to do list/calendar that can sync across platforms and devices, but the implementation is so jumbled.
★★★★★ Certainly not worth paying for until you've gone a few weeks and you're using it every day.
Worse after an update8%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I will update my review once the app is fixed.
★★★★★ While the list functionalities and matrices execute flawlessly, the calendar refuses to update google events once initially ingested.
★★★★★ I've been a huge TickTick fan for years. I have my whole life in it. Recently, the mac desktop app was upgraded and the entire thing went from functional to so slow I can barely use it. I can't even scroll from the top…
WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • And then I use TickTick to manage the complexity of work where I need more raw power. 5★, Jul 5, 2026
  • Also, for the love of God, please give me a “cleanup” button somewhere to delete all completed tasks, and let me choose for auto-cleanup to happen on a schedule. 4★, Jun 16, 2026
  • My only negative FOR ME is the esthetics I wish I could change font or something because it feels clunky and could be a little more user friendly in the user face HOWEVER still the best. 4★, Mar 16, 2026
  • My suggestions include to add an “Undo” function and to add the ability to enter an address for a task in the Calendar so that we can click and automatically get to a navigation app. 4★, Mar 11, 2026
  • This app meets 99% of my needs and has helped my mental load by not having to remember every little thing and just throwing it on the list. 5★, Jan 10, 2026
  • I love this app but I wish there was a space dedicated to taking notes or really organizing thoughts maybe like a layout where you can insert sticky notes and pictures, just a thought. 4★, Nov 10, 2025
  • The only thing I would like to see added, would be to have the ability to collaborate with people on tasks and projects. 5★, Nov 3, 2025
  • Update: the Pomo timer needs a notification when it's done. 4★, Oct 27, 2025

Worth the money10%

★★★★★ So it is already very powerful product in free version for basic nees, thanks to developers!
★★★★★ After some time exploring this app I realized how cheap and essential the premium version is.
★★★★★ I have been using TickTick since 2017 and I have looked at switching to see if anything else could do what it can… in its completeness and cost (cost for the pro version, but the free version is still fairly robust).

couldn't cancel subscription

account and preferences (and subscription mgmt.) ran into a digital wall - never opened the next pg. with cancellation option as was apparent that its functionality was supposed to include; haven't tried other task mgmt. apps yet - this was recommended (a sponsor of his??) by an ADHD coach; consider other platforms that allow you to option out of a premium subscription without having to entirely delete the acct. (and will still have to bird-dog my cc. to see if the charge shows up) :-(

Simple. Profound.

Having tried out many, many to do list apps and setups over the years (since about 2007), TickTick stands out to me for its simplicity, flexibility, and with the inclusion of habit tracking it’s truly profound it terms of how it can bring (or facilitate) clarity in my workflow. It has all the basic functionality you’d expect in a to-do list app, with some really nice features like the Eisenhower Matrix and Pomodoro timer also built in. It works for me!

One of the best todo list & calendar apps

I find tick tick to be one of the best todo list and calendar apps. It has all the needed tools to become productive. The most apprecative thing is that even fine details are taken care of and implemented nicely. I believe the developing team is themselves using ticktick for managing their projects so that they are aware of the main usability issues and are taken care of nicely.

Suspicious AI Intergration

I’m on a paid plan, with no warning, TickTick decided it was a good idea to implement AI without my knowledge or consent. I didn’t realize it until the pop-ups arrived. Checked the settings, found a setting to “Help Improve AI” already activated. I went through all my devices and turned it off. One month into using TickTick and they have completely broken trust with it’s customers. I paid for a to-do list calendar, and did not pay for a company to scrape my personal and business information so they can train their AI with my private data, especially without my consent. TickTick is now a POS company and forever cannot be trusted!
