WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Price and subscription22%

46 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ It has gone to the dogs ever since it went subscription model.
★★★★★ Free download but in 3 days they charged me $55.
★★★★★ Like every other app they try to press more money out of you.
Worse after an update9%

18 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Do not update the app if you have a later version
★★★★★ since the last update end of may the app is not starting anymore.
★★★★★ After the last Update I can't start the App on iPhone and iPad.
Wrong or poor results8%

16 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Useless and gives awful routing info.
★★★★★ What you are showing is inaccurate and racist.
★★★★★ I had hopes for the app, but it looks kinda useless.
Login and account problems7%

15 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Password was compromised, but I received no response to my inquiry as to how to change my password.
★★★★★ I did not sign up for maps.me pro and it just randomly charged me.
★★★★★ Angeblich sei mein Account mit einem anderen Account verknüpft- auch der Support half nicht, dieses technische Problem zu lösen.
Lost data, sync, backup7%

14 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ It has gone to the dogs ever since it went subscription model.
★★★★★ Now, I'm faced with two lost months of my subscription already and even more lost time and $$$$ while I wait for, what, another request for the same thing?
★★★★★ Constantly tries to upsell you to the paid version. The interface uses anti-patterns everywhere to frustrate you or make you mis-click into their payment flow. The UI is clunky and does not have any consistency for…
No customer support7%

14 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Password was compromised, but I received no response to my inquiry as to how to change my password.
★★★★★ I reached out to the support staff, supplying all the purchase details, screenshots , etc, and just now TWO MONTHS LATER they respond, asking for the same data I supplied initially.
★★★★★ I get that the devs want to earn money for their work but I can't support anything that induces downloading by claiming to be free then makes itself useless unless user pays.
Limits, credits, locked features5%

11 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I like the user experience. However, it can only find the businesses I'm looking for about half the time. Even major ones like KFC or Tractor Supply. And you can't put in addresses, so I can't get to them that way,…
★★★★★ Now it feels very limited because they now make you have to pay for a subscription to use much of the application it feels like there is now as many map locations to be able to download as well.
★★★★★ Excellent for navigation when you want to limit data usage on your cellular plan.
Bugs, things not working4%

9 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Search function not working
★★★★★ This app DOES NOT WORK, I can't even type my own home address, it keeps saying there is an error, so basically I cannot type any address, so what is this gps supposed to be good for?
★★★★★ Eventually the app was unusable for me as it glitched out when using super basic destinations to major landmarks and beaches ( like baby beach).
WHAT THEY ASK FOR

“Scammy” promotion

In some places, having an ongoing discount, countdown timer is not illegal. I have been using this app from the year 2010 and was a paid user. It has gone to the dogs ever since it went subscription model. It is sad an I just do not use it anymore and do not recommend it to anyone, ever. Is this fixable? You can start by removing the stupid promotion when starting up the app. Can you do that?

Awesome app!

Perfect for anyone on a bike or such just meeding a simple navigation app. Once I set a destination, I just have to glimpse at my lock screen to see where to go next with their notifications. Not using my celular data to load the maps and such is also a huge plus. Only thing that would be great would be voiced directions maybe, but a great app!
