read all those classics you’ve always meant to read

This app is fantastic. I was already a very fast/avid reader, but still, there were classics I’d put off. This app has made it possible for me to increase my reading speed as well as finish off a few of those books on my list. I find my comprehension is higher at this pace with this app than when I “skitter” or photoread. My nine-year-old goddaughter loves the app, too, and always asks to play with it on my phone. We read quite a bit of Little Women together that way. It would be amazing if this were integrated with more formats, but it’s not that hard to find books. It’s also extremely good for the purposes of writing: I load my rough drafts up as PDFs and read them, which keeps me from editing while reading, and allows me to quickly get the sense of a whole.

They ruined this app

Why did you ruin this amazing app? It used to show you one word at a time, where the focus was in the middle of the word, and you could set the speed or wpm. This no longer lets you see one word at a time, it is only 5 words or more, which makes this app garbage, absolutely useless. The whole point was to speed read using the spritz system. I could absorb 500 words per minute, but now they ruined this app delete

Removed the feature I bought it for (Spritz)

I’ve enjoyed this app for years. I originally purchased it to speed read books using their spritz focus mode. Now that mode has been removed, so the app has no use to me.

Trotz „lifetime premium Account“ kein Support

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich für den ‚lifetime pemium account“ bezahlt, weil ich die Spritz-Funktion toll fand. Das war die App es wert. Nach einem Update lief die App auf meinem iPad nicht mehr. Auf einem neuen iPhone fehlte dann die Spritz-Funktion. Diese ist jetzt eine eigene App, für die ich offensichtlich noch einmal bezahlen soll. Ich habe aber schon viel Geld bezahlt. Ohne Spritz hätte ich für die App aber nicht bezahlt. Diese Funktion wird aber als Bild (Stand: 9.5.2024) immer noch gezeigt. Ein Ebook kann ich auch mit der Standard-App von Apple lesen. Den Support habe mehrfach angeschrieben - keine Antwort. „Lifetime premium account“ - Inhaber müssen anders behandelt werden. Deshalb nur noch ein Stern und KEINE Empfehlung.
