ID Scanner: Bar Age Verify

Refinements and reliability improvements throughout the app.

ID Scanner: Bar Age Verify turns your iPhone into a fast, reliable ID checkpoint for bars, clubs, dispensaries, smoke shops, liquor stores and events. Point the camera at the PDF417 barcode on the back of any US or Canadian driver's license or state ID. In about a second you get a full-screen verdict you can read at arm's length in a dark doorway: green when the guest meets your age threshold, red when they are under age or the document is expired. BUILT FOR THE DOOR - Instant green/red age verdict with the exact age in giant type - Under-age countdown: see "turns 21 in 43 days" instead of doing date math at midnight - Expired-document alert, even when the guest is of age - Works in low light: torch toggle, 2x zoom and near-range focus tuned for small barcodes - Configurable age threshold: 18, 19 or 21 to match your jurisdiction - Works fully offline. No signal at the door? No problem. KNOW WHO IS AT YOUR DOOR - VIP list: a star banner greets your best guests on every scan - Banned list: an unmissable alert when a flagged ID is scanned again, with your note attached - Re-entry notice when the same ID is scanned twice in one night PRIVATE BY DESIGN - 100% on-device processing. Scanned data never leaves the iPhone. - No account, no signup, no cloud - Scan logging is OFF by default; some regions restrict retaining ID data - The optional scan log is encrypted at rest and can be locked with Face ID - License numbers are masked on screen and never written to the log FOR MANAGERS - Tonight's door count and full scan history at a glance - Export the scan log as CSV for incident reports and compliance files (Premium) - Front cross-check (Premium): read the printed front of the card with the camera and compare it with the barcode data; anything that does not line up is flagged for manual review AN HONEST TOOL ID Scanner decodes the data inside the barcode and calculates age. It cannot determine whether a document is genuine, and we will never claim otherwise. The app also flags internal data inconsistencies, such as an expiry date before the issue date, so you can take a closer look.
