Square Footage & Floor Area

Bug fixes and performance improvements.

Find out exactly how many square feet a room has. Tap its corners on the grid, set the scale once, and the floor area appears the moment the shape closes — no tape stretched across the floor, no guessing on L-shapes. Most area apps only accept a width and a length, so anything that is not a plain rectangle gets rounded off. This one traces the real footprint with the Shoelace formula, the surveyor's method for any straight-sided polygon, so alcoves, bay windows and odd corners are counted exactly as they are. Prefer numbers to drawing? Type a precise width and length and the room is rebuilt as an exact rectangle in one tap. WHAT YOU GET - Exact floor area for any room shape — squares, rectangles and L-shapes alike - Perimeter plus every individual wall length, ready for skirting and trim - Whole-home totals: group rooms into a project and the square footage adds up - Square feet or square meters, switched at any time on every screen - A Learn tab with conversion factors, measuring tips and material coverage rates - Saved rooms you can search, reopen, edit and share as a plain text summary PERFECT FOR - Homeowners planning a renovation, remodel or new floor - Renters and buyers checking whether a listing's stated size is real - Tradespeople quoting flooring, tiling or painting on site - Anyone laying out furniture who needs the true floor plan, not a rough guess WHY NOT JUST USE A TAPE AND A CALCULATOR? Because a tape gives you two numbers and a room is rarely two numbers. Every jog in the wall means another rectangle to measure, write down, multiply and add — and one slip ruins the total. Here you walk the room, drop a corner at each wall junction, and the maths is finished before you put the phone down. Wall lengths, perimeter and the running project total stay on screen while you work. PRIVACY Every plan is stored on your device. No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking, nothing leaving the phone. It works with no signal at all — basements and empty properties included.
