I read the Strib on an iPad (yes, it’s updated to the latest software). While I’m reading articles, the ads change shape, change content and generally cause my screen to jump around. Every article I have to stop at least once and figure out where I was reading because the ad not only distracted me but changed the screen configuration. This seems like poor design.
Some articles open as webpages in the app. Also, if you want to send a gift link, you have to open the regular link into a browser, ensure you are logged in, and then you can get a gift link. Too many steps.
No stock/ TV info
Minnesota Star Tribune journalism is a cut above most newspapers. The app itself is designed well and easy to use, it’s highly useful for live reporting stories in instances of serious concern. Local stories covering Minnesotan issues is also appreciated by this Minnesotan.
I like the paper but the app keeps kicking me off …even after a called to have someone correct it.
