The Issue

The problem is NOT the classic monopoly board game we all enjoy on occasion. The problem is the lack of creativity and “progression” for the user who paid $5.99 for this game. You can’t play or win games to unlock anything. You need to BUY characters, boards, and die to switch it up. They have the ability to be creative, but lock it behind an excessively expensive paywall and dangle it in your face. I regret spending the $5.99 for this greedy game. Luckily, I was offered a 91% discount off every board in the game (totaling $284.30) so I only had to spend $24.99 for them! Cheapen up the game if you’re going to be cheap, make cosmetics for the people who spent the money FOR the app, and stop leaving a bad taste in the mouths of Monopoly fans.

Online play is terrible

I actually enjoy the app for solo or localized play, but the online experience is garbage. The game constantly freezes on a players turn. I’ve never been able to complete an online multiplayer game. For a paid app, I’d expect a much better fallback solution. If a player leaves the game, why not default to a computer player? Why does the game need to freeze with absolutely no explanation? Also, we’ve already paid for the app. Why are the extra boards SO expensive? A few bucks is understandable, but to be charged $20+ for a different board is ridiculous. Do better.
