HOW SURE ARE WE
Not in any grossing chart, so this comes from ratings growth (133 new ratings a month on average since launch): revenue grows with new ratings, more slowly for apps that collect ratings fast. Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2 times, and big earners tend to come out low. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Price and subscription48%

19 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I absolutely used to love this app, they even honored the new purchase and give me my old subscription… However, recently, the app is horrible.
★★★★★ Do not waste your money 99% of the templates can not be customized to your specific brand, colors, text, also not that's any of the added graphics to the templates can not be altered, hence once again not customizable…
★★★★★ I'm still waiting for my money and my time invested in my designs that stayed in the Story Art app has been worth it 🙃
No customer support20%

8 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I have written emails and reviews numerous times now and absolutely no response.
★★★★★ What has caused me amazement is that I have been trying to contact support for months without being able to assist me.
★★★★★ I tried to contact apple on getting me a refund but they didn't honor it because they said the developer already disabled the app.
Worse after an update18%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I love this app but why haven't you updated it in four years?
★★★★★ But, with the last update, there are maybe 18-ish songs to choose from when creating your own template.
★★★★★ Now I have changed to the Iphone 13 Pro Max and when I tried to open the app it told me that it had been removed from the App Store which was not a surprise to me since it had happened to me with other apps which when…
Lost data, sync, backup15%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Now I have changed to the Iphone 13 Pro Max and when I tried to open the app it told me that it had been removed from the App Store which was not a surprise to me since it had happened to me with other apps which when…
★★★★★ I deleted old app & downloaded new app but now having to re-purchase membership because they want a screen shot of when you purchased before??
★★★★★ Now cannot "restore" my subscription on this same app, so the app require to pay again.
Crashes and freezes13%

5 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ There is one specific template I use to keep my Instagram uniform, and the template keeps freezing, I can't insert pictures easily, some days it works other days it doesn't.
★★★★★ I love the features of this app, but more often than not it won't even load off of the main screen - it just freezes and won't let you do anything.
★★★★★ The app is decent when it works, but locks up and freezes constantly making it useless
Limits, credits, locked features10%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ They will not respond for a credit.
★★★★★ I wanted to use it, as I paid for it (with Apple credit).
★★★★★ So that money is wasted and now I have to pay again for basically the same app, under a different name.
Bugs, things not working8%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I've tried everything to make it work but it appears to be a bug or something.
★★★★★ Maybe it's a bug that needs to be fixed…?
★★★★★ Complete waste of money. There's only 4 themes, no color choices, and when I tried to add music it was "processing" forever.
Missing features8%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ But now for some reason, when I upload photos, it crops from the full and there's no way to fix it.
★★★★★ The last sentence is missing.
★★★★★ I purchased a one year subscription to StoryArt and have no way to contact the company about getting my money back or transferring my new subscription.

No Landscape on iPad

Installed on my iPad and was looking forward to doing some creating. But the app wouldn’t switch to landscape, which is required when you use a keyboard and other tools to help design.
