HOW SURE ARE WE
Small app: combines its grossing ranks with ratings growth (0.0 new ratings a month on average since launch). Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2.6 times, so the range is wide. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Login and account problems41%

29 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I'm not *logging in* to a terminal client, what is wrong with you.
★★★★★ Any terminal application that makes you login is nonsense.
★★★★★ Forces you to create an account and syncs your SSH keys to third-party servers just to use a basic SSH client.
Price and subscription20%

14 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ A basic terminal app, like this one, could have a one-tine purchase or a tiny monthly subscription ($0.99).
★★★★★ This is essentially a large paywall for what the built-in mac terminal has for free.
★★★★★ I understand they need to make money somehow but I would rather pay for the app directly to support the devs instead of having my data be the price of entry.
No customer support13%

9 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ To make it worse, support is completely clueless.
★★★★★ I understand they need to make money somehow but I would rather pay for the app directly to support the devs instead of having my data be the price of entry.
★★★★★ As of today I cancelled my subscription because contacting the support didn't yield any meaningful result.
Lost data, sync, backup11%

8 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Forces you to create an account and syncs your SSH keys to third-party servers just to use a basic SSH client.
★★★★★ This is a SSH client, something that requires no cloud syncing or centralized infrastructure.
★★★★★ If I can skip this Vault sync and only use this app local, that would be awesome.
Bugs, things not working10%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Known Electron + macOS 26 (Tahoe) bug that Termius hasn't fixed.
★★★★★ The lastest update broke SSH. You cannot SSH to nodes anymore.
★★★★★ It used to work fine earlier. Now all I see is a blank after oprning the app. Tried reinstalling the app. yet, No Luck. :(
Wrong or poor results9%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I'm not *logging in* to a terminal client, what is wrong with you.
★★★★★ The 'Ask AI' widget is a nightmare. It blocks my arrow keys, forcing me to press Esc before every single command just to see my history. It's a total workflow killer. To make it worse, support is completely clueless.…
★★★★★ Useless for most scenarios.
Worse after an update9%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Update: forcing users to create an account and then sign out of it once logged in to the app does nothing to reduce first boot friction.
★★★★★ More than happy to update my review should they decide to change this awful tactic because I really do love the app.
★★★★★ The lastest update broke SSH.
Missing features4%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Most striking is a lack of ability for seesion logging which is supported by most all other major SSH clients.
★★★★★ Basic features like open with a local app or editor are missing.
★★★★★ Has alot of seemingly good features on the surface but some basic stuff is missing.
