Too many ads3%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ If you're going to make your presenters read out the ads for the new LBC app.
★★★★★ The app of the most successful commercial radio in UK can do everything you never asked about: show news and opinions, play ~30 music radio stations, keep hundreds of podcasts.
★★★★★ Many of the videos don't play (apart from the adverts), same with the audios, and the Opinion section clearly isn't being overseen by an editor as its articles are routinely full of typos.
Wrong or poor results3%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Has the exact same problem as global player...shuts off after 5-10 minutes, which makes it totally useless & unfit for purpose...
★★★★★ This is a replacement Xiaomi phone the app used to work on previous Xiaomi Note 11 Pro (which I lost 2 months ago), so what's going on now⁉️🤔🤔 I will have to uninstall until you fix this fix, it's useless to me.
★★★★★ it's not them but the useless LBC employees who came up with this rubbish app
No customer support2%

5 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Edit 31/03/26 Absolutely appalling customer support too!
★★★★★ And don't respond by asking me to email customer support.
★★★★★ Edit: no I will not take the time to get into contact with one of your representatives, I like many others have provided feedback, all very similar, so you need to get back to whoever developed your app and inform them…

love the programme wish there were no adverts though

★★★★★Oct 14, 2026

Wide range of features but, like the Global Player app, buggy, unreliable and frustrating to use after a recent update. Playback often stops even on stable WiFi, "content not available". Maddening. Edit. the issue above has been fixed, so well done. However, a new bug has appeared after this week's update. playback stops for a few seconds every few seconds, then starts again. The spinny wheel appears briefly then okayback restarts. Even more maddening. Do thes updates receive testing?
