Play the game to see if you enjoy it. Be prepared to go ad free for a long time play. That changes the flow of the game entirely. There are so many directions to help level different things. It can be overwhelming if you try to do it all every day.
The 12.0 update added animations to all the buttons and other elements, making them take a little longer to load and respond to input, the change doesn't really add to the game at all. apparently there's a new feature but I haven't paid enough money to access it "early" despite it being in the release notes
