WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Price and subscription33%

9 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I opened it today and they are all gone and the app tells me if I want them back I have to sync, but when I tap that it is saying that I have to pay for a subscription to get them back.
★★★★★ imagine my surprise when I realized that something that SHOULD be a courtesy function is hidden behind a pay wall.
★★★★★ give me a reasonable one time purchase price and I will get it in a heart beat, but I'm not going to rent a tally counter and off reader
Limits, credits, locked features15%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I opened it today and they are all gone and the app tells me if I want them back I have to sync, but when I tap that it is saying that I have to pay for a subscription to get them back.
★★★★★ this app used to be decent to use but so many features are locked in premium that I'm thinking pen and paper is just the better option for what you get with the free app.
★★★★★ And if it was done by a real artist, no credit to be found anywhere.
Lost data, sync, backup15%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I opened it today and they are all gone and the app tells me if I want them back I have to sync, but when I tap that it is saying that I have to pay for a subscription to get them back.
★★★★★ My phone died and app charges to restore backup.
★★★★★ Love the app but $10 for premium just to restore my backup because I got a new phone (of the same brand)?
Bugs, things not working11%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I've found this app sooo useful but there seems to be a glitch with the timer recently, where it would just reset the time I just worked on my project to the time it was before once I stop the timer and exit the app.
★★★★★ Now, the writing is perfect but saving the work is impossible due to an error stating "Exception in HostFunction"!
★★★★★ I hope this bug gets fixed because I really like it.
Too many ads11%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ My deal breaker was not that there's a banner with ads but that sometimes those ads are NOT safe for work.
★★★★★ but now they'll give you two or three ads in a row just to use the counter.
★★★★★ Used the free version, was okay with ads.
Worse after an update7%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ *edit on June 27th, I have auto update and I watched it do the same thing today!*
★★★★★ Recent update made the free version unusable.
WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • only wish it had a task/checklist type system and a way to set goals, like X rows in a day! 5★, Oct 1, 2026
  • I wish there was a way to look at more than 4 months of stats and drill down to see my daily/weekly stats. 3★, Sep 19, 2026
  • The counters built in (especially since you can add more for pattern repeats!) are insanely helpful. 5★, Sep 7, 2026
  • I like the ability to add more than one counter, hand write notes with my pen, or just annotate the patterns like a pdf. 5★, Jul 13, 2026
  • I've watched the timer go down the next time I open the app after already confirming to add the time to the counter. 2★, Jun 27, 2026
  • it's super frustrating, because then I would just let the timer go while doing nothing to add the time it wouldn't record before but I never have the guarantee, that it saves the time. 2★, Jun 26, 2026
  • Would recommend this app to any fiber artist who needs a tracker. 5★, May 15, 2026
  • would be great if, on the share tab, the projects were listed alphabetically. 5★, Apr 24, 2026

Amazing row counting app!

★★★★★Oct 19, 2026

Super knitting app. I use this app for almost every knitting project. Its really easy to use and creates a record of everything I do. I use the chart for keeping track of colourwork- I couldn't do them without it now. I also add photos of finished projects. I would highly recommend trying My Row Counter, the instructions are easy to follow.

★★★★★Oct 19, 2026

★★★★★Oct 18, 2026

I have used this app for at least 2 years now. I had 128 projects saved. I opened it today and they are all gone and the app tells me if I want them back I have to sync, but when I tap that it is saying that I have to pay for a subscription to get them back. This app shows up in the free list when asking Google. The app is not free.
