WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Bugs, things not working23%

5 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Basic functionality doesn't work and the dev has the audacity to try to charge for features or make users wait.
★★★★★ I have been unable to pair my Think node M5 using Android 16/One UI 8.5 as I get a FlutterBluePlusException create bond fbp-code: 6 error immediately the PIN entry field appears.
★★★★★ While the hardware itself is solid and connects fine on iOS, the Android experience is completely broken.
Worse after an update9%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Both the app and firmware are updated.
★★★★★ not happy that the app doesn't use the phone's current GPS location to auto-update the node.
Missing features9%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ poor user experience, no way to improve as it is not open sourced
★★★★★ The lack of availability on F-Droid and the weird licensing system for paywalled features will prevent this app from becoming nearly as popular as Meshtastic, even if Meshcore is a better experience.
WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • Would be great to be able to request a new position of contacts from the maps as well. 4★, Aug 29, 2026
  • search for <1d and view all the nodes on map with that 1byte id, and secondly please please make meshcore work on car play / android auto. 5★, Aug 22, 2026
  • I just wish you had a version that can be used without Google Play store. 5★, Jun 7, 2026
  • Liam, could you add the ability to have different ringers for contacts, or at least to differentiate from the public? 5★, Apr 19, 2026
  • honestly wish it didn't all feel so half baked makes it hard to understand why people keep recommending it. 3★, Apr 6, 2026
  • please add screen widget for channels to show chats like WhatsApp widget. 5★, Mar 18, 2026
  • If you'd like to give people a good reason to pay for the app, it would be nice if it supported updating firmware directly to repeaters, and preferably companion devices also. 3★, Mar 7, 2026
  • If you need a true decent + reliable off-grid comms, you need this. 5★, Feb 3, 2026

WHAT THEY LOVE · SHARE OF GOOD REVIEWS
Accurate, great results13%

13 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ meshcore works great, there are a few things id like to see in the next app update, the ability to search for nodes using the map.
★★★★★ Works well and contains a good amount of features to message and check data.
★★★★★ Super easy to use and it works great!
Easy to use6%

6 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ Great but lacks autoconnect to companion and autostart on boot options, which makes it easy to miss messages and harder to convince friends to use.
★★★★★ Super easy to use and it works great!
★★★★★ In some places the UX could use a bit of polish, but overall everything is intuitive and Just Works.
Looks great5%

5 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ having some ui issues where it shrinks to half screen.
★★★★★ I prefer it over Meshtastic's interface.
★★★★★ As a new user to mesh I appreciate the intuitive design to the app.
Fast5%

5 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ I just wanted to post this real quick out of fairness and will write a proper review later on.
★★★★★ what this app needs is just a top quick access bar in contacts to select between chats, repeaters, rooms and sensors, like Kiekr.
★★★★★ The UK user base is growing daily, a stable platform that is evolving fast.
Worth the money3%

3 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ been developing a couple dozen use case varied popup net as well as static node comms for my mountain and it's been a godsend, Liam and Andy are Gods among men and blessed we all are to have such true freedom loving…
★★★★★ But after watching Andys video showing the work that went into app, its not Liams fault ripple radio is selling free maps.
★★★★★ It's free, ad-free, and delivers a full mesh experience on devices like the t114, HT V3, and t-echo (and other client nodes) Unlike the Meshtastic app, where I couldn't get a message for a month, Meshcore established…

Terrible. Basic functionality doesn't work and the dev has the audacity to try to charge for features or make users wait. Download Meshcore Open.

★★★★★Oct 17, 2026

Great app to connect to your meshcore device.

★★★★★Oct 12, 2026

app keeps cutting off half the screen. unable to correct without completely closing the app and rebooting. this issue started a week ago on 9/28/26

★★★★★Oct 6, 2026

Fantastic, worked perfectly on my Heltec v4 and so stable too. I ditched Meshtastic which was awful, buggy and wouldn't update. This however, just works, thanks Devs. Once I have the rest of my kit sorted I'll donate, awesome job!!

★★★★★Oct 2, 2026

Recent updates seem to have affected Bluetooth connectivity on at least RAK wisblocks. My device disconnects if meshcore is not the active app on screen. No background activity occurs, node light blinks (awaiting connection) until I reconnect inside app. All phone settings are optimized to prevent this but app still disconnects if in the background.

★★★★★Sep 29, 2026

great app, keep up the good work!
