Overall, the smart meter experience is good, with reliable connectivity through the UPPCL mobile app. However, the app must introduce an ON/OFF feature to let users switch their meter off whenever electricity is not needed, helping prevent unnecessary consumption, misuse, electricity theft, and unwanted bills. More advanced features, similar to those available in Europe, would further improve the experience.
