A slow, unresponsive app with a poor layout and poor usability. That's the baseline. Then we enter the realm of paywalled rules, paywalled list slots (only 1 list without subscription). And THEN they decide the app is the only place where the full game rules are printed. And THEN they decide core rule updates in the app are not mentioned neither on their page nor in the app itself (no changelogs). A hilarious self-own, hope somebody with a better grasp on reality takes over soon. Avoid.

Honestly mediocre. The app doesn't function as a list builder as you are limited to one list unless you subscribe, which wouldn't be bad if you could see all the rules. It doesn't, and even if you spend $40+ on the codex who's rules change the same day, you cannot make lists with that codex if you don't pay an increased cost on top of it. The app also doesn't alert you to changes in rules that massively change how the game is played, so enjoy the 1 star you money grubbing corpos.

the paywalling is idiotic. GW doesn't seem to realize that an army list is a shopping list. they should let me make as many lists as I want, because then I'm more likely to buy the models on my list. Also paywalling the datasheets is stupid too. How am I supposed to be expected to know which models are worth buying if I don't know their currently updated stats? and attaching the paywall to the purchase of a physical book is like triple-stupid. GW execs, please Google the phrase "loss leader"
