They added new abilities to every weapon since the last time I played the game. All these new abilities suck and the game tries to force you to pick them and if you pick them your dmg drops drastically since you pick these abilities instead of the other ones that were actually useful. For example the emp no longer goes on your turret and just randomly around the map, or the turret has the bad 10% chance for something to happen with upgrades to make that thing do better but still only 10%

Too hard for f2p to progress. And tough level are luck based not strategy. Even upgrades I avoided will be forcefully added after boss kill. Grinding lower lv is boring while higher lv are luck based. From 2 star to 1 star.
