Bugs, things not working12%

8 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I hate it more broken stuff with the bluetooth functions: if you pause a book it doesnt remember where you paused and when resuming it starts somewhere way back, can be minutes, can be a chapter.
★★★★★ The updates should be tested for these bugs before putting them out.
★★★★★ But broken functions don't get repaired, and more and more stuff breaks.
Price and subscription10%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Now I have constant nags and in-line app "ads" asking me to upgrade to a monthly subscription.
★★★★★ The developers use the free audio books and sell them for money or ad revenues.
★★★★★ SCAM..Site is supposed to be absolutely but app is attempting to charge subscription fees..SCAM

★★★★★ Been using this app almost every day and as of today, it crashes every time it launches.
★★★★★ it constantly crashes for no reason, and when it does it takes a very long time to get back to the point where you left off.

★★★★★Oct 24, 2026

Wonderful app. I only wish it was easier to adjust the playback speed without needing to carefully slide my thumb to adjust it. instead, I'd expect to be able to tap to increase or decrease speed in 0.1x increments.

★★★★★Oct 24, 2026

Not a fan of new UI, prefer the prior. Other gripe is when phone screen off, app will not play subsequent chapters automatically. Have to open screen and start new chapter manually. This inconvienent as use app at night in bed. Update 1/23/23 Bumped to 4 stars, chapters now advance properly and playing time slider back...thanks! update 10/26..with latest android os, controls no longer work...barely useable

★★★★★Oct 22, 2026

Way too many ads especially in a book with short chapters. Very poor caching. Uninstalled.

★★★★★Oct 22, 2026

Thanks to the volunteers reading these books and they don't belong to BookDesign as some responses here make it appear. The LibriVox website in itself is very good, and there you can download and read the free books while you listen to them. Why isn't it possible in this app to open and read the book that is being narrated? And please stop the imbecilic ads.
