★★★★★ Proton mail talks a big game about protecting user privacy, but best I can tell that's a lie. They advertise that they don't collect person information and thus couldn't share it or use it improperly even if they…

Know this before you commit: if you pay through Apple, you can't buy standalone add-ons like Lumo Plus. No option on the web dashboard, none in the app, and support offers no workaround — no invoice, no payment link, no migration path. 6 hours for a template reply. Then 12+ hours of silence. Ticket #[EMD0XX-353V4]. Still waiting. Good products. Billing and support are terrible.
You can see new messages and send things as normal except contacts don’t save in the app. It has said “coming soon” for over a year. You have to save contacts in a browser from a pc or phone, and then they still don’t show up in the app most of the time. What is the point of the app if contacts don’t work? I end up back on the browser all the time anyway now
No customer support in an urgent situation. So many security features, but I find no safety to access my own $$$$ paid account. 2FA but not password. Had to create a new account, and still wait to hear, to get help!!! Are you there folks? Up until recently, you’ve been great. Proton Pass needs to be pulled as a positive start! Companies are MY biggest barriers to read my e-mails. A Single customer support email, that is difficult to find!!! I apply this complaint to all email apps at the time. I had to resort to Google, which EXCELS at lack of support AND relishes circular AI responses … everything is labeled a security threat! Customers low importance.
