Gear score used to mean something when this game first came out, now I have a gear score of over 2mil and struggle on a quest with recommended gear score of 400k. That’s a big leap. I never thought I would walk away from this game but here we are.

Been playing this basically since it came out, just got my 11 year badge a little while ago. I haven’t played nonstop in all that time, I come back every so often to grind up again with all the new features. The game is super fun, playing never feels forced, and there’s basically no reason to pay for anything, I’ve only ever spent like 99 cents on gifts for my guild mates because I loved this game so much I wanted a reason to spend money. I have hundreds of gems saved up with no reason to use them. Late game combat can be super fun, and provokes lots of thought in how to play, and my favorite part of the game is the fashion, feels basically unparalleled with how much you can choose from and mix and match, I’ve had the same favorite outfit for over 5 years but still switch it up weekly.
Tedious & complicated. The game’s “fun” aspects are gated by endless resource grind. Combat is overtly convoluted & difficult to understand without 3rd-party help sites. Worst of all is the PVP, which heavily favors cheeze & P2W. PVP is so bad in fact, they have to literally bribe players with premium currency just to participate as punching bags for the whales.
So I’m a old player- and I guess little me didn’t realize how dumb it was to I guess not make sure your account would be saved- so lost all my OG stuff (I will mourn my fairy tail collab stuff-) BUT I totally forgot how simple yet addictive this game is, what’s nice in my opinion is that it’s nothing flashy- and that also the story is really good ngl.
This game is truly so iconic. I keep finding myself coming back to it. I’ve been playing since the summer of 2016 and I have never found a game like this. Although there’s a lot of bugs and a lot of whales in the game, it’s still a genuinely one of the most best games I’ve ever played.
