HOW SURE ARE WE
Small app: combines its grossing ranks with ratings growth (57 new ratings a month on average since launch). Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2.6 times, so the range is wide. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

★★★★★ How does a media app focusing day and night on Apple, its hardware and software, design standards, etc. still not have a dark mode icon in 2025? I'm pretty sure I've seen articles and social media posts from 9to5…

WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • Please add the dark mode icon. 1★, Dec 23, 2025

★★★★★ Long time user and the UI change is an appreciated update!
★★★★★ I love the news and the design is also very good.

★★★★★ Also, if you are a voiceover user as I am, the articles are very accessible and easy to read.
★★★★★ I understand revenue is essential for business but not at customers experience cost. Ads load first and very fast but articles and pictures won't. Needs work.

Worth the money4%

4 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ However, although I subscribe, the app still thinks I'm a free user and limits the articles I can read.
★★★★★ While I found the free version to be quite informative,I find the $1.99 Premium Membership to give me even more information I can use.
★★★★★ But could it be free I mean it's just a website in a app with some features could it be free all features

No Dark Mode Icon Support?

How does a media app focusing day and night on Apple, its hardware and software, design standards, etc. still not have a dark mode icon in 2025? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen articles and social media posts from 9to5 complaining about “that one app” that breaks the home screen when dark mode icons are enabled. Newsflash 9to5Mac: your own app is part of the problem. Part of what you write about is Apple’s attention to detail and critique 3rd party software when it doesn’t adhere to standards. We’ve had dark mode icons for how long now? How do you still not have one? It’s honestly a ridiculous oversight for an organization so focused on this stuff.

Please Update

For being an Apple centric app, think it’s time to update it with compatibility for iOS 26… it’s been over a YEAR since its last update. App icon is driving me nuts being blurry and not matching the rest of the Liquid Glass theme.
