WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • I have enjoyed using CalcTape for years since I purchased it, but recently on my M4 Pro MacMini, it keeps locking up repeatedly when I add the tax rate and then edit the rate to the proper percentage. 5★, Aug 9, 2025

Excellent

I love Calctape. It works great as a calculator I can track history on. My only gripe is that I get constant requests to choose icloud or local storage and I can’t figure out how to stop it.

Gute Rechner App

Seit Jahren mein Begleiter

Bitte weiter so!

Nice, Easy, Accurate

I use this calculator because it is simple to use. I can add on Headers for each set of numbers when I do my taxes, and all of the informaiton is on one tape. What I would like is for the app to disappear behind any other window I might want to open. It sits on the top of everything else I am doing, and it is irritating to either totally minimize the window so I can see another page or try to drag the app as far away as possible- extra steps I should not have to take. All other apps can cover each other when needed.

★★★★★Feb 25, 2026

Love it but…

I am so tired of CalcTape popups asking me if it should save on iCloud or locally. It doesn’t matter which I select. CalcTape constantly forgets.

CalcTape makes the arithmetic process visible - you can generate intermediate results and subsequently correct or change all numbers and operations. - Input a long list of values to be calculated and never lose the overview - just like with an adding machine / calculator with paper tape. - Insert comments and notes into your calculations anywhere. - You can use intermediate results to structure your calculation. - Use it for Money, Tax and any other percentage calculation easily. - If you should later change digits or whole mathematical expressions, then the complete calculation is automatically updated. - Insert new lines or delete lines inside of your calculations and see the updated results immediately. - Save your calculations into files. - Open the files later to change the calculations. - Define your own functions and buttons. - Share your complete calculation via e-mail, Airdrop and more. - Print your calculation. - Choose your favorite design. - iCloud support (Mac OS 10.10 and higher). Sync your calculations with iPhone and iPad easily. - CalcTape masters the four basic arithmetical operations, exponentials, percentage calculations and much more. CalcTape, more than a calculator. FAQ: - Start a new calculation on the same sheet by simply tapping the "=" key twice. - Right click a button to assign another existing function or to create a user function for it. - If you accidentally hit "AC" you can use "Undo" to get your calculation back.
