Worse after an update23%

39 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ It's been a long time since the last update.
★★★★★ I have been a very satisfied Toolbox user for years—but the app hasn't been updated in nearly a year!!
★★★★★ Please devs update this app to work on the new phones
Too many ads20%

34 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Looked that way but is becoming just another an Ap that funnels to the user an endless string of worthless ads.
★★★★★ Also I don't appreciate ads with half nude women, not appropriate for children to see that stuff.
★★★★★ This app has useful tools but you have to wait for at least 30 seconds for any tool to open, since it runs ads before every tool opens.
Crashes and freezes16%

27 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ This is one of the best and most useful apps I have put on my phone. However after upgrading from an iPhone X to an iPhone 11 Pro, this app no longer will even open on the new phone. These phones have been out for 2…
★★★★★ Simply crashes on launch every time.
★★★★★ with full reception, at&t four bars service, app freezes up repeatedlywhen trying to open
Bugs, things not working12%

20 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ It's been a long time since the last update. The ruler is not at all accurate.
★★★★★ No instructions, only settings can be changed, doesn't work, nothing on screen, waste of time.
★★★★★ Is this a scam to push the customers to buy the 45€ Decibel-App or just a bug?
Wrong or poor results8%

14 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Ruler is way off, some of other items are ok but they also removed Db meter that it used to have.
★★★★★ This TOOLBOX app, showed a decibel meter, which was the app that I was searching for. However, with all the other tools included in the app, it appeared to be far more versatile, which is why I chose it. After…
★★★★★ The ruler on my iphone 12 pro max is out way out of scale, and who knows what else is wrong :(
Lost data, sync, backup7%

11 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ And suddenly - poof - my decibel function was gone (iPhone 12 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max).
★★★★★ They moved it to another app that I would have to pay for again. I'm not happy.
★★★★★ Used for 5 min and lost interest.
Price and subscription4%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I think this app may have been trying to steal my data. Every time I opened the app I got a warning saying it was trying to paste from my clipboard but it had no use for that information. Was it trying to steal data?…
★★★★★ Is this a scam to push the customers to buy the 45€ Decibel-App or just a bug?
★★★★★ I'd be glad to pay money for a great app.
Missing features4%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ This is a pretty handy app, but when I installed on my new iPhone, the sound meter was missing.
★★★★★ Pretty bad when an app put an ad on the screen and there is no way to get rid of the ad and actually use the app.
★★★★★ There was no way to close the measure tool except to close the entire app.
WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • Please bring it back. 2★, Aug 13, 2025
  • Only thing is I wish the Barometer worked without signal! 5★, Sep 4, 2024
  • Sure, I'd add a light intensity meter, an audio decibel meter, a ground speed meter, and a few apps that sample repeatedly in real-time, like barometric pressure, and included an option to set an alarm for falling… 5★, Jun 28, 2023
  • Developer: Add the sound meter to the Toolbox, or at least, clean up the description for both apps to remove all references to Sound Meter, both in the text description, and the graphics. 1★, Jul 15, 2022
  • I got this app to check for studs in my wall, I was wondering why would someone need a flashlight? 5★, Mar 14, 2021
  • I'm not asking for any new features, but please make the ones I paid for work properly with the latest ios and devices!! 2★, Nov 22, 2020
  • But PLEASE make the design bigger. 5★, Dec 10, 2019
  • The barometer needs altitude adjustment. 4★, Dec 9, 2019

Ruler Shows 10% plus

On iPhone 13 Pro Max Latest sw The ruler on Display Shows ~10% more. Real 10cm are 11 on the Display.

★★★★★Jan 14, 2026
Ruler?

Missing dB sound meter

This is a pretty handy app, but when I installed on my new iPhone, the sound meter was missing. I used that all the time. Where is it? Please bring it back.

★★★★★Jul 30, 2025
Good app for what it does

I think a couple good tools to add would be a decibel meter and a speedometer
