  • On the surface this app seems like it would be great. 1★, Jul 5, 2025
  • I am just beginning my experimentation with APRS, and this app looks at least as good as any of the rest but if you could add an apple watch app, or mini-app, companion for the phone, that would be cool. 5★, Mar 6, 2024
  • Would love to see offline maps in a future update. 5★, Jan 21, 2024

  • Would love to see cached maps as many of the events I volunteer for are in areas with no cell or Wi-Fi coverage. 5★, Aug 28, 2022
  • When offline maps are supported (preferably using OSM maps), please make it possible to download large areas (e.g., states) in detail instead of the tiny areas that many map apps provide. 4★, May 23, 2021

Accurate, great results20%

25 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ One thing that drives me nuts, the filter don't save, so every time I open it I have to disable AIS and all weather stations. That's the only thing I'd love to see changed.
★★★★★ Huge improvement for use on my UV-Pro using the BLE TNC. Huge improvement over the BTech APRS functionality in the app.
★★★★★ This app works great especially when connected to a external TNC
Easy to use14%

17 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ I love how easy this app is to use, but my big gripe is that I can't use this app with vox on my radio.
★★★★★ Super intuitive and easy to use.
★★★★★ And APRS Droid is less intuitive than its iOS counterpart.
Useful, it helps5%

6 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ Just getting into DMR and APRS - super helpful to be able to make this app part of the party
★★★★★ It takes a while to master but is useful for public service events.
★★★★★ This app also helps me to recruit amateur radio operators into SAR and SAR responders into amateur radio.
Great support5%

★★★★★ Are there any plans to add CarPlay support?
★★★★★ Both website and app does not ID the Yaesu FTM-200 as a rig. Furthermore, the beacon text always displays a “_2” at the end.
★★★★★ I just wish I had an application that would support digital modes for APRS messenger on Apple IOS.

Meh

Kinda does the job. Doesn’t justify the paywall features. Everyone wants to get their beak wet, even when they make the hobby and community worse.

Overall it works great.

One thing that drives me nuts, the filter don’t save, so every time I open it I have to disable AIS and all weather stations. That’s the only thing I’d love to see changed.

Can’t connect via Bluetooth to the Bridgecom Maverick

Need someone to tell me why I cannot connect the app to my radio via Bluetooth. I paid for the app and the in app purchase and still cannot connect???

Beaconing in iOS 26

Solid product and never had a problem in the past. Recently drug out my Mobilinkd and YAESU to get on the airwave again. Beaconing seems to be working in the app, radio transmits, app shows my coordinates.. but when I try to send a msg for weather or any other service that requires location it tells me to beacon.. I do beacon again and no luck. Everything else seems fine.

Smart Beacon

This app has worked very well for me. The only feature I wish it had is smart beaconing.

Beacon

I can’t seem to be able to beacon, the Beacon isn’t clickable.
