Too many ads34%

74 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ It's embarrassing that their latest app update includes “removing full screen ads so you're not distracted between contractions” — either maintain an app that provides a straightforward service or don't, but stop with…
★★★★★ There are ad pictures I assume at the bottom of the screen of the timer and they are of provocative clothing models. I don't think woman want to have to look at other women like that while they are in labor. Won't be…
★★★★★ As I'm trying to time my contractions, there's naked women and penises in the ads.

★★★★★ I will be letting ppl know what a scam it is
★★★★★ I wish it didn't cost money as a teen mom I would like to be a thing I can use to get advice
★★★★★ Some contractions have started and decided to go with the contraction timer from them as well just to find a paywall makes me upset to say the least.
Limits, credits, locked features6%

13 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ easy to use yes but why do we have to pay to get some information on our pregnancy....
★★★★★ The fact that you have to pay for the full version after SIX contractions and then it doesn't even work?
★★★★★ Basically this app is unusable and I regret spending the money on it (I had to pay before I could try it, it says there is a premium version but as far as I can tell there is no “non-premium version, you have to pay to…
Bugs, things not working5%

12 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I need to edit my contractions at times as I will accidentally leave the timer running or start it too late and it doesn't allow for this without glitching.
★★★★★ Free version is intentionally glitchy with paywall to upgrade .
★★★★★ Bought this while going into labor and it literally did not work. It wasn't registering contraction duration or frequency correctly using the simple start/stop button. If I wasn't having my third baby I'm not sure I…
Wrong or poor results3%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Cannot add contractions that were missed bc was putting kid to bed - gives completely wrong numbers due to it
★★★★★ Just charge for the app up front instead of lying to people. “Free” version of App is completely impractical for use tracking contractions. “Subscription” version is very good, but makes user feel lied to and…
★★★★★ Most of these reviews must be fake because this app is trash.
Missing features3%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ There was no way to stop the timer because the button had already reset to “start contraction.”
★★★★★ Essential feature is missing (see title) and they flood you with ads and disclaimers.
★★★★★ Paid version; disappointed by lack of widget and Apple Watch app… and seriously annoyed by the functionality further degraded by the incessant request for a review.
Lost data, sync, backup2%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Deleted app and found one a little more calming.
★★★★★ I already paid for this several pregnancies ago and when I went to download it from my most recent pregnancy now it's trying to make me pay for it again, even though I already purchased the full version years ago.
★★★★★ iPhone 18. I tracked one contraction that lasted about a minute then hit “end” and it logged the contraction as ended. Then when I went back to the app 10 minutes later for my next contraction, the first contraction…
No customer support2%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ This app worked perfectly but when I had my baby and went to cancel what is a weekly subscription fee, I found nowhere to do so aside from emailing the support team.
★★★★★ I have emailed support twice with proof/receipt of purchase and received no response.
★★★★★ The app says I don't have an email set up thru my phone, so I tried to contact support for help— which also requires email.

  • I'm not always glued to my phone to be able to start/stop the timer right away, so I really wish there was a log setting 3★, Aug 3, 2026
  • Also, why on earth does a simple app that im only going to use maybe a few times at the end of my pregnancy need a subscription? 2★, Jun 7, 2026

Simple and helpful!

I wasn’t sure if I was just having Braxton Hicks at work. Downloaded this app quick to help count what was going on. Found they were real contractions and already 4 min apart! I delivered a healthy baby that evening. This app is so simple to use and proved to be so incredibly helpful at tracking contractions until I got to the point they were constant and no longer felt the need to know how close I was getting.

Helped me communicate to my midwife so she had a sense when to come over

Must Pay for App

You can't do anything on this app without paying. Contradictory to the "in-app purchases" statement. You can press "start contraction", but good luck viewing any of your past contractions. Paper and pen work best.

Store description

*** Most downloaded Contraction Timer app in the world! Number 1 in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy and elsewhere! *** This is the simplest-to-use contraction timer. The app will help to track your contractions and determine when it's time to go to the hospital. If you plan on having a home birth, the app will tell you what stage of labor you are in at any given moment. Keep track of your labor by tapping a single button at the start and at the end of each contraction. The Contraction Timer analyzes the duration and frequency of contractions and will notify you when it's time to go to the hospital. Thousands of pregnant women around the world have become mothers using our app. Always consult your doctor to orient yourself in terms of contraction frequency and duration. This app is not a medical device and our recomendations are based on standard indicators. Your labor may occur differently. Therefore, do not rely exclusively on our app. If the duration and frequency of contractions do not yet correspond to the necessary indicators but labor pains become unbearable, it is better to go to the hospital as soon as possible rather than give birth at home or on the way there. Trust what your body is telling you. If you have any questions or suggestions, please email us at neumandev@gmail.com. Your feedback is very important to us.
