★★★★★ For $20 you would expect that the lens picked would fill up the full screen for deciding what lenses to use. But not all lenses you choose fill up the full screen. I also think this is closer to a $5-10 app not $20.…
★★★★★ For what you charge, you flat out disrespect people!
★★★★★ Should be about $3.99 imo

★★★★★ The field of view on this is not accurate at all.

★★★★★ It helps a lot when you are location scouting and doesn't need to bring your camera and lens!
★★★★★ I can switch between cameras, Lenses… And Brands quite easily to get a quick reference of what I am looking at for Fran and other creative options
★★★★★ Remember those old movies where a director would carry around a lens on a lanyard and a light meter? This is just like that! I am a still photographer on Fuji GFX 100 and keep getting this crazy notion, while out on…

★★★★★ -and then just have an extra UI button to zoom in and out with that lens.

★★★★★ One thing I hope they will add in upcoming versions, is a very quick, simple, and intuitive way to switch back-and-forth between the image library, and the camera, I have not found a quick way to do that.

★★★★★ Quick simple and it works.

Excellent app, and especially appreciated it accommodated 16mm film/lenses! Was able to capture photo and video references during my tech scout. Posting a reel on IG about it now! @femmeregard
The entire premise of ANY directors viewfinder is you get an accurate preview without hauling a camera around. The field of view on this is not accurate at all. I prepped with the app, then on shoot day, we had to entirely change a shot because the camera couldn’t be on the process trailer. It had to be 3 feet further back to get the shot we wanted, which put us on the trailer hitch. Complete waste of money. Go with one that is industry standard if you actually have a film with budget.
The app is exactly as described, full featured, and replaces more expensive directors view finders. From what I’ve seen so far, it has been completely accurate. The only thing that I did notice is that it does not have the 7Artisans Spectrum cinema lenses included in the list so I am unable to get an accurate representation of the equipment I own. with a plethora of independent filmmakers out there it seems like a no-brainer than more of the budget line cinema equipment would be available in the app. Because many of them, like myself, can’t afford the $40,000 lenses.
im a professional dp and I use this to scout every project.
