It’s nice to be able to watch past matches but navigating the app can be very difficult if you’re not already familiar with it. There’s also no option to turn off spoilers for the current tournament, so if you’re in the US which is a day behind Japan, you’re getting results spoiled on the homepage. You can turn off spoilers in the torikumi section (where you can watch past matches), but there’s no option to see rikishi scores or standings up to that point. It’s either no score at all, or you get their score for the whole tournament *including* that day (which you’d probably want to avoid if you haven’t seen the matches yet…) It also appears that you cannot cast videos to Apple TV or other devices if you want to watch on a bigger screen; audio comes through but it seems like there are DMCA protections blocking the video. There are also no English subtitles for things like press conferences, but there is a transcription available for shorter things like 30 second introductions. Overall a very mixed bag.
