ZeroBooks Reader

• New document translation: translate an entire document on your device with “Translate This Document”. Search for source and target languages, and choose Apple Translation or local AI on supported devices and language pairs. Track progress with an accessible percentage indicator and cancel at any time. The translation is saved as a separate document, keeping your original intact. • New AI Chat: explore characters, ideas and events across your document. Summarize a page or the whole book, compare selected pages, or translate a page range into your chosen language. • Discuss your bookmarks, saved quotations and notes, and get study suggestions based on them. Manage each document’s chat history separately or clear all conversations. • Added optional, experimental offline AI OCR. The model is included; local AI needs no account, internet connection or API key. • Added VoiceOver progress announcements during AI tasks while keeping message navigation under your control. • Fixed footnote and page-number reading preferences in PDFs and scanned documents, and improved preservation of line breaks, poetry layout and line-ending hyphens. • The text cursor now preserves original line breaks and hyphens. The line-end pause preference affects playback only, including paid voices. Local AI requires iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max or a newer iPhone with at least 8 GB of memory.
