If you like the occult this is the game for you. It plays smoothly and I would have rated it five except for the necessity of tapping at least twice (and often times more) to pick up inventory items or select items in the HOs. It is annoying to say the least.
Great news, everyone! My boyfriend is finally cancer-free! Thanks to everyone who supported me, especially our fabulous Director of Quality Assurance, Drosietwo! UPDATE: Friendly Fox has released Dark City: Florence. I have been to Florence and the ambience of the city is perfectly captured. I have previewed the game and you won’t want to miss out on it. Purchase, play and enjoy. This game was an occult mystery. If you love the arcane and eccentric, this one is for you. Of course, in the end, it came down to freeing and saving souls, which is Domini’s usual storyline. The game was lengthy and gorgeous, but the graphics were a bit too busy for my old eyes, especially in the HO scenes. There was some innovative inventory usage, and many interesting tasks to accomplish. Most of the mini-games we have seen many times. I don’t like finding the collectibles, but still found all of them. The extra puzzle is a rotational puzzle. It wasn’t worth looking for all of those tarot cards. My biggest issue with the game was the very marked lack of touchscreen sensitivity on the gameplay interface. It made me second guess myself, and I should not need to do so. Oleg never listens when I tell him to heighten it. Hard tapping =pain, especially for older gamers! However, this occult adventure was enjoyable anyway and my rating is 4 stars. I deducted a star for the awful touchscreen sensitivity. Happy gaming, everyone!
