Compass: GPS Field & Altimeter

We’ve optimized GPS accuracy and fixed minor bugs to ensure a smoother, more reliable navigation experience.

Find your direction. Know your location. Track every journey. Compass is a precision field instrument for iPhone — combining a real-time compass, GPS positioning, altimeter, barometric pressure monitor, GPS speedometer, and activity recorder in one premium dark-mode app. REAL-TIME COMPASS A smooth compass dial that rotates instantly with your iPhone. Shows all 16 cardinal and intercardinal directions with precise 0°–360° degree readings. • Accuracy within ±5° of true heading • Smooth needle animation — no lag, no jitter • Magnetic interference detection with visual warning • Automatic calibration guide (figure-8 motion) • VoiceOver support — direction and degrees read aloud GPS COORDINATES & LOCATION See exactly where you are. Latitude and longitude in DMS format with a live GPS accuracy reading. • Coordinates: 105°49′26″ E · 21°1′10″ N • Live GPS accuracy indicator (e.g., ±6 m) • Current location name (city/district) with live temperature • Weather & location refreshed every 10 minutes via WeatherKit • Cached data shown when offline, with last-updated timestamp ALTITUDE, PRESSURE & WIND Three environmental readings always on the compass screen — no tab switching needed. • Altitude: barometric sensor (GPS fallback if sensor unavailable) • Atmospheric pressure: displayed in kPa (kilopascals) • Wind direction: live reading from weather service (e.g., NNW Wind) FULL SENSOR DATA DASHBOARD Every sensor reading organized in one scrollable screen. The altitude card stays pinned to the top across 6 sensor groups: • GPS Coordinates — latitude, longitude, altitude, accuracy radius • Air Data — temperature, humidity, dew point, wind direction & speed • Magnetic Field — compass bearing, field strength in μT (microteslas) • Pressure — barometric pressure, pressure-derived altitude • Boiling Point — water boiling temperature at current altitude & pressure • Weather — live conditions, UV index, visibility, from WeatherKit • Daily Altitude Chart — hourly bar chart with daily max/min elevation markers ACTIVITY TRACKER & ROUTE RECORDER Record hikes, runs, bike rides, and walks on a live map. Tracking continues in the background even when your screen is locked. Activity types: Walking · Running · Mountain Hiking · Cycling Live stats: elapsed time · total GPS distance · accurate distance (high-confidence GPS) · average speed · max speed · temperature Map styles: Standard · Dark mode · Satellite — switch anytime during recording. GPS PHOTO — LOCATION-STAMPED IMAGES Take or select a photo and Compass automatically attaches your GPS coordinates and altitude to it — a permanent, precise location record. Perfect for field workers, surveyors, hikers, and photographers. GPS SPEEDOMETER Precision analog speedometer (0–240 km/h) powered entirely by GPS. Opens and starts measuring instantly — no buttons, no setup. Tracks: current speed · max speed · average speed · total distance · accurate distance · altitude · heading COMPASS PRO — UNLOCK ALL FEATURES Free version: full compass, GPS, speedometer & activity tracker.
