What's new in 1.0.9
Biblio now translates. In the reader, translate a paragraph, selected text or a whole chapter, and with parallel reading each paragraph is followed by its translation. You can translate a whole biblion too: a new biblion in the target language is created and linked to the original, so you can switch between them at any time. DeepL translates using your own key, and the text goes from your device straight to DeepL.
Biblio can also explain a word or a sentence, such as its grammar or its meaning in context, using your own Gemini or Claude key. The librarian translates and explains text and translates its own answer when you ask.
Save new words to your vocabulary together with the sentence from the book. Each language has its own vocabulary, and you practise with flashcards, multiple choice or filling in the sentence, with reviews at growing intervals.
You can now share PDF, text files, HTML, images and video to Biblio. The Import into Biblio action takes text or files from a shortcut. Checked tasks sync between your devices over iCloud, and notifications no longer interrupt reading and listening.
Read your notes from the Notes app in Biblio as a text biblion, with images, tables and checklists that you check off right in the reader. In Notes, tap Share, choose to export as Markdown and pick Biblio. After you change a note, bring it over again, and your place and checked tasks stay.
When something does not work as it should, send us a report right from the app. It is anonymous and a few words are enough. Thank you for your help.

Store description
Read with your eyes, your ears, or both at once. Biblio is your library for books, podcasts, videos, photos and your own files. Text and audio run together: the highlighted word shows where you are, and when you look away, you keep listening from the same spot.
WHAT YOU WILL FIND IN BIBLIO
- Synchronized reading: text and audio at the same time, with the current word highlighted.
- Free classics of world literature from Project Gutenberg and the Czech National Digital Library, with covers and edition details.
- Podcasts and YouTube channels: subscribe, and new episodes and videos arrive in your library on their own.
- Your own files: EPUB, PDF, audiobooks, songs from your Music library, videos, photos and scanned pages. Your recordings and videos can be transcribed into text.
- Photos and albums: a viewer with captions, automatic photo descriptions and video summaries.
- Presentations: combine photos, videos, music, captions and passages from books into your own story, play it, even on your TV via AirPlay, or export it as a video.
- The Librarian: ask what to read next. It finds, adds and downloads.
- A reader with your choice of font, size and colors, a progress indicator and read-aloud with your device's voice.
- Wherever you are: iPhone, iPad, Mac, CarPlay and Apple Watch. Your reading position syncs through iCloud.
FOR EVERYONE
Biblio is built for sighted and blind readers alike. The whole app works with VoiceOver and braille displays, and VoiceOver users also get a gesture mode for fast control. Readers with a print disability under the Marrakesh Treaty can, after a declaration, use special Czech collections: the K. E. Macan Library and Printing House for the Blind (KTN), the Digital Documents Library (KDD) and the Camelot electronic newspapers and magazines.
WHAT IS A BIBLION
A biblion is an authored work you receive as a whole: a book, a podcast episode, a video, your recording or a presentation. It can come as audio, text or synchronized (audio and text with aligned words), and Biblio offers whichever form is available.
