Elec-Mate: Electrician App

The biggest update since 2.0. Twelve days of work from a working UK electrician, shaped by your messages. The app now opens on a home screen you can make your own, quotes and invoices are faster to build and easier to get paid on, and Dave, the apprentice study mentor, now knows each apprentice's course. A HOME SCREEN THAT'S YOURS Open the app and see what needs you today: money to chase, quotes waiting on an answer and today's diary. Then make it yours: move or hide any block, and pin the tools, pages, jobs and customers you use most, so they're always one tap away. Ask Elec-AI a question straight from the home screen. Customers who tend to pay late are marked, so you know before you start the job. QUOTE IT IN A MINUTE The quote builder puts the customer and the job on one screen. Pick how long it will take and when you can start, add access notes, and send. Write to the customer from the same place: a job email or an after-job report, in the tone you choose, ready to send. GET PAID FASTER - Turn a quote into an invoice and choose what carries over: the quoted items, plus anything added on site. VAT and CIS come with it. - Start a new invoice straight from a customer. - Quotes and invoices open on a proper page with the real PDF, and Mark paid sits right beside Chase. PAPER WHEN YOU WANT IT Print a branded Job Card or Materials Required sheet, fill it in by hand on site, then photograph it and it files itself on the job. Professional in front of the client, and no signal needed. PHOTOS YOU NEVER LOSE Take a run of site photos in one continuous camera, tag them once, and they upload in the background. Every shot is saved to your phone the moment you take it, and stays there until it's safely uploaded, even with no signal. SITE SAFETY, DONE PROPERLY A full Site Safety hub: RAMS with versions and review, toolbox briefings your team signs on their own phone, permits and safety records, photo reports and a live safety alerts feed. YOUR DIARY AND GOOGLE CALENDAR, IN STEP See exactly when your diary last synced with Google Calendar, and sync again in a tap. ELEC-AI, REDESIGNED A cleaner chat that's easier to read on site. Regulation numbers in an answer are tappable, so the full regulation text is always one tap away. A CV THAT FITS THE JOB Tailor your CV to a vacancy in a tap: your profile rewritten for that role, and your own skills and qualifications put in the order that employer cares about. It only ever uses what's already on your CV. FOR APPRENTICES - Dave, your study mentor, now knows your course: your units, what you're being assessed on and your end-point assessment route, including AM2S. Answers come back quicker, and you can stop, try again or regenerate any answer. - A redesigned apprentice hub, Today screen and site diary, and your portfolio exported as one tidy PDF. STUDY CENTRE - PAT Testing course brought fully in line with the IET Code of Practice, 5th edition. - Building Management Systems course rebuilt from the ground up. WELLBEING The Mental Health hub has a new home: a quick "How are you today?" check-in, your support contacts one tap away, and UK crisis lines that dial straight from the screen. SMOOTHER ON YOUR PHONE What you're typing stays in view above the keyboard, Back always takes you to where you came from, steps back through builders and closes sheets, and lists remember where you were and what you'd filtered. Every message, review and suggestion since 2.6 has gone into this. Keep them coming. I read every one.
