★★★★★ They're just repackaging the old Rosetta Stone as a way to avoid honoring the original lifetime subscriptions.
★★★★★ The new addition of AI doesn't justify a subscription.
★★★★★ Think I need to get my money back and I haven't gotten through the fundamentals

★★★★★ The speech recognition is very slow, buggy, and will just not work sometimes for a basic phrase (hello).
★★★★★ The app stalls, can't hear me speak, and is generally extremely glitchy and glacially slow.
★★★★★ For 160 dollars I was expecting to be able to download the the lessons to use while traveling line the “other guys”. Nope. Must have internet connection. Audio recognition is poor. I even had a native speaker try to…

★★★★★ Update: As I have been using this app more and wow the glitches are severe.
★★★★★ Bought the lifetime purchase to the classic version only to have it shafted for this “updated”version.
★★★★★ Claiming it's a new app isn't a justice If it's better than just update the original .
9 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.
★★★★★ I've emailed the company on the issue with no response.
★★★★★ I do not recommend anyone support this company
★★★★★ On top of that, customer support completely refuses to give lifetime users access to this new edition, despite the fact that it uses the exact same content and underlying system.

★★★★★ When I click on the wrong image at least once and finish the lesson I have to restart but I don't get an explanation so it's just a loophole of me struggling and trying to memorize each word to the picture.
★★★★★ But still to this day the speech engine always says I the words wrong.
★★★★★ All images, and I assume most of the content as well, is generative AI and feels very fake and hard to connect to.

★★★★★ Do you have to pay for another subscription?
★★★★★ Instead they insist on me paying for a subscription for this app in order to utilize something I paid extra for in order to not have to pay monthly.
★★★★★ As a lifetime member of the original Rosetta Stone, I was very let down to find out that this new version is locked behind a separate paywall.

★★★★★ If we're a member on original Rosetta stone, should The same Log in work for sapphire?
★★★★★ The screen is so tiny fir trying to type in log in info on ipad not made for tsbkets, and when I manage to get all my account info in it keeps saying ipmy email spor password are incorrect even though it's the same…
★★★★★ Unable to access normal sign in, turns out it's a different product than my lifetime subscription to Rosetta Stone (now called Classic).

★★★★★ For example, the speaking lessons completely freeze and stop recognizing that you are speaking and the screen freezes.
★★★★★ Had it all of 30 minutes and I've had to close the app and restart it 3 times cause it gets stuck. It also doesn't seem to want to recognize my AirPod mic. The app is super buggy. Is this normal? Think I need to get my…
★★★★★ Also, the app has been freezing multiple times, forcing me to leave and go back into the app and then I have to restart half of the lesson I already did.

Me gusta por lo repetitiva y fácil de aprender, eh tratado con algunos métodos, pero con ustedes e aprendido en tanto en tan poco tiempo que me siento muy motivada a seguir aprendiendo. Gracias.
In certain types of speaking exercises I cannot move forward. No matter how clearly I pronounce, how silent it is in the room am of pronunciation, all of my answers are marked as wrong and I cannot move forward. It is a problem with the app with my phone as has been suggested. Somebody needs to be testing for this. I’m still in the free trial. But if this persists I’m not going to be paying for an app that doesn’t work properly. Certain types of speech exercises do work, but other certain types fail 100% of the time. Update: pronunciation exercises are impossible. I’m screaming into the microphone and it’s still not picking up on what I’m saying. I end up repeating the simplest exercises over and over again because it is simply not able to process the information. Waste of time. Of course when I contacted the creators they told me that I had to use earbuds completely silent space. I am in a completely silent space and it works even worse with earbuds with a micro Also just got to “milestone”. It is absolutely mystifying. There’s the most confusing of photos that are supposed to tell you what to answer but they are absolutely mysterious. A lady sitting with a book on her knees and a thermos on the floor? I cannot guess what you want me to say. A couple in the background and a hand in the foreground? A dog stealing food? Definitely didn’t learn any of this. They may think that they are creating a story that makes sense but they genuinely are not. And the answers they are pull out of thin air are things you did not learn in the lessons. Also, in the writing exercises, if you don’t understand what they’re saying then you’re out of luck. You simply have to skip the exercise and you will never know. At no point does it slow it down or give you the answer or tell you what you got wrong. There is also no way to pause and reread something or review. It just keeps going.
Was listening to some people talking about how rossetta stone was the greatest way to learn a language because i was looking for a classroom style way to learn spanish, and they said rossetta was the way, they use full immersion classroom style teaching, starting you off like your in kindergarten, and teaching you fully in spanish, starting off with photos to explain words, and giving you school style lessons, some taking a full hour to complete, which is the way it should be, making you have to fully committ in order to learn spanish, and i realized this was finally the way i was going to learn spanish, the escape from the horrible langauge learning app called duolingo, only to find out that rossetta just recently took a massive dump, that is the new rossetta stone, by leaving the hour long class room style sessions, and breaking lessons down into the 5 to 10 minute bite sized lessons i was trying to get away from, changing from the classrroom like critical teaching methods that are only for the most committed, and switching to the modern typical langauge learning app style that is not too difficult and not to long, to keep the attention span of the phone zombies of this new generation, what, a smelly dump this is.
At first, I thought this app was great. Unfortunately, because I’m an English speaker first, I’m finding many of the aspects of the language I am learning-German-to be difficult to understand. That’s because in English we don’t have masculine and feminine nouns. Nouns are nouns. I am not apparently intuitive enough to understand the differences in the articles being used for the nouns. Now we’re into negatives, and I finally had to google the difference between Nicht and Kein/e. Rosetta Stone might think that everybody understands what it is trying to imply in the lessons, but we don’t. We aren’t all puzzle solvers.
Everything about Rosetta Stone Sapphire is great. The lessons, design, and learning experience are excellent. However, it doesn’t support Mac, and unfortunately, I can’t even access it through the web version on my Mac. I really hope Mac support is added soon.
