What's new in 1.8.6
New
- A big update with a fresh new look is here. If you use more than one device, update all of them to the latest version
- A saved Transfer Balance can now be edited by tapping its transaction on Home
- The Debt and Receivables lists now show Paid and Overpaid statuses (paid ones move to the bottom), and on the Pay Debt page you can just tap Remaining Debt to fill in the remaining amount automatically
- Bills now show how many days are left until the due date, and bill reminder notifications now show the amount and can be tapped to open Pay Bill right away
- Expenses you have already recorded can now be marked as a bill payment with Select Transactions, so you don't have to record them twice
- Savings with a target date now show how much to set aside per month, week, or day to reach the goal on time
- Theme Color is now easier to read: text and icons in the theme color now have stronger contrast, especially in Dark Mode, and light theme colors now let you choose white or dark text (the Aa buttons on the Theme Color page) for text shown on the theme color, such as the top of the screen and buttons
- When you add an account, category, bill, or book, the icon now automatically matches the name you type, and the icon page shows suggested icons and more icons to choose from
- App Lock (previously Biometric Lock) now has a new PIN screen, a Lock after option to choose when the app locks (immediately, after 1 minute, or after 5 minutes), plus Change PIN and Forgot PIN
- After you save a transaction with Quick Add, an Undo button now appears for a few seconds so you can cancel it if you made a mistake
- Favorites has moved from Home to the add transaction page: turn on Favorites in Preferences, then tap a favorite above the number keys to fill in the category, amount, and note all at once (it moves on to account selection automatically if no account is selected yet and Require Account Selection is on)
- When someone on the Free plan signs in on a new phone that has no data yet, a message now explains that their data is still on the old phone, together with a Move Data button that uses Cloud Backup (requires upgrading to Premium)
Improvements
- Deleting a debt or receivable transaction by long-pressing it on Home now also deletes its record on the Debt page, so the remaining debt and the account balance still match
- Reminders no longer appear when they are not needed (that month's bill is already paid, an installment or debt is already paid off, savings have been moved to Achieved), and reminders set for the 29th to the 31st now still appear in shorter months, on the last day of that month
- When Cash Flow Mode is off, Balance Correction is now counted in Income and Expense on the Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly tabs, just like on Daily
- In Balance Correction, Current Balance now updates right away when a new transaction comes in from another phone, and a hint explains that the difference only goes into Reports if you choose a category
- Balance Correction for accounts used in more than one book: if the Accounts page shows Active Book, a correction now only changes the account balance in the book you have open, matching the number on the account card. If it shows All Books, a correction still changes the account's total balance across all books
- Transfer Balance is more convenient: Transfer Fee now automatically fills in the category and note you used last, and deleting a Transfer Balance now also deletes its Transfer Fee
- View History in Budget now shows exactly the transactions that make up the Used amount, including budgets limited to one account
- Bills are tidier: the Paid status is now the same in the filter, the cards, and the summary, bills without an amount no longer show 0, and Pay Bill now automatically fills in the bill name and the account from the previous payment, plus the due date when you pay a bill for another month

Store description
Catatku is an expense tracker and budget planner for personal, household and business money. Log income and spending, track savings goals and see where your money goes. Record transactions offline, without linking your bank. Completely ad-free, with no subscription.
You get paid, but a few weeks later you're wondering where all the money went. You want to save, but it never quite works. You've tried other budget apps, and they only made things more complicated.
Why Catatku Is Different
1. Easy for Beginners
Bought a coffee? Log it. Grabbed lunch? Log it again. Bit by bit, you get a picture of your own spending habits. Start with small purchases, and tracking your daily spending soon becomes a habit.
2. Separate Books for Personal & Business
Run a shop, sell online or have a side hustle? With the Pro plan, give your business its own cash book. Each book has its own records and reports, so business money never mixes with everyday spending.
3. Keep Logging Without Internet
On the road or stuck with a weak signal? Logging keeps working and you can still view your data. Cloud backup is available with the Premium and Pro plans.
4. Manage Money as a Couple or Family
With the Pro plan, you and your partner can use the same Catatku account on your own phones, on up to 5 devices. Log your own spending, and your data syncs in real time when you're online.
5. Choose What Works for You
Start free. When you need more, choose Premium for one year of access or Pro Lifetime for Pro features forever. Both are one-time purchases, with no auto-renewal.
Catatku Features for Everyday Life
- Track Income, Expenses & Transfers: Keep cash, bank accounts and e-wallets as separate accounts. Transfer between them, including any transfer fee.
- Log via WhatsApp or Telegram Chat: Send a message, a receipt photo or a voice note to record a transaction in the app. This add-on is for users on the Pro plan and is bought separately, monthly or yearly.
- Set Budgets: Set a monthly budget for one or more categories, then compare it with what you've spent. Works well with the 50/30/20 rule too.
- See Financial Reports: Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly income and expense summaries, plus charts by category, so you can see where your money goes.
- Track Savings Goals: Create goals for an emergency fund, a vacation or anything else, then follow your progress.
- Debts & Money Owed to You: Keep track of money you've borrowed, money others owe you, and repayments along the way.
- Recurring Bills & Installments: Track recurring bills, subscription costs and installment plans with an end date. Set bill reminders to stay on top of due dates.
- Export Reports & Keep Receipts: Export your records to PDF or Excel. The Premium and Pro plans unlock unlimited exports, plus receipt photo and PDF file attachments.
- Comfortable to Use Every Day: Home screen widget, tablet layout, beautiful color themes and dark mode. App lock with PIN or biometrics is available with the Premium and Pro plans.
- Plan Around Payday: Payday doesn't always fall on the first. Choose when your financial month starts so your reports follow your pay cycle.
- Choose Your Currency: Record your money in the currency you use. With the Pro plan, each book can have its own currency, handy for keeping everyday spending and travel records separate.
Start with one entry today. Once you know where your money goes, planning next month's budget gets much easier.
