HOW SURE ARE WE
Small app: combines its grossing ranks with ratings growth (1027 new ratings a month on average since launch). Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2.6 times, so the range is wide. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

★★★★★ I will give credit for fixing the earlier problem of being asked to log in every single time, via an email link, like that's somehow a benefit.

★★★★★ After I click a link in a Free Press article, when I return to the article the app takes me back to the top and I have to scroll down to where I left off. It's very annoying.

Wrong or poor results7%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Cannot sign in reliably. I would like a refund. Every time I go to sign in there's a problem. It is organization doesn't know whether it's a substack or an organization that uses the free press app. I want a refund.
★★★★★ Since the app thinks I'm on a free subscription, I'm unable to use all of the features that I've paid for, making the app absolutely useless.

Great writing!

This is one of the few media sources I’m willing to pay for, always thought-provoking and balanced in their editorials.

App Needs Fixing

I believe in the work the free press does, but I would love it if they could make the app better. Whenever I’m forced to close my phone while reading an article, it always defaults to the top again which is annoying. I’d love for the place to be saved so I can pick up from where I left off. Otherwise keep up the good work!
