Beware of shady practices

Milestone requirements and payouts are determined by the game developers. If you’re trying to reach their milestone for level 11 which was allowed to be done in 3 days but then shortened to 2 that was their decision and they also had the xp pass removed for new players. Instead you’ll see short deals from $2-35 dollars with no intent to help boost xp just increasing costs to make small jumps in character stats. They claim they’re testing what works for all players by removing this pass which does not make sense as it helped those before complete the deal. Really disappointing that a game developer would take this route and then try to justify it. Edit: I did make contact with “support” and that is how I know about the removal of the XP pass. Which was done to appease FreeCash more than likely. Because if you reach level 11 you’d receive $30+. The XP was crucial to this and there were “balances” made to increase the grind.

New always-on internet requirement makes it unplayable

I used to spend a fair bit of my travel and off-time playing this game both because I enjoyed the theme, but also because I didn’t need to be online to play it. They added an always-on internet requirement several updates ago, so I’ve essentially stopped playing it. I’m back to playing their previous game Alien Invasion, of which Ghost Invasion is an updated reskin. It doesn’t require an internet connection, but I’ll delete it as soon as it does.
