Good, but where’s Overture?I like this game very much, and it runs well at maximum setting on my M1 Max MacBook Pro. (It introduced me to the sound of the MacBook’s fan.) However, the DLC, Overture, has been available on other platforms for two and a half months, but it isn’t here. Why?

Great Game; Buggy on M2 UltraReally enjoy the game, as far as I've got with it. It's hard, but not unfairly so, and once you get the hang of the combat it's really satisfying. Also the art direction and design is great. Purely on the game, would give it 4-5 stars.
Previously had some issues with crashing (see original review below), but these appear to have been fixed (the app hasn’t been updated, so assume the fix was on Apple’s side). However the game now suffers from severe frame hitching where it will pause for a couple of seconds seemingly randomly (M2 Ultra).
This is a real shame; without the tech issues, the game would be an excellent example of an AAA game porting to the Mac.
~ Old Review ~
The fly in the ointment is that crashes fairly regularly (for a couple of hours play, 4-5 time); the crash doesn't take the game down, but restarts the entire Mac (lit. pink screen and then it reboots).
I think other have had similar issues though as far as I can tell the issue is specific to the M2 Ultra. I've reached out to the devs and they're looking into it, but as of the time of review it's still unstable.

Hard but goodThis game is amazing, wonderful world building, an amazing story, so much content and will make you want to replay it all over again.
Playing on a M1 Macbook Air I was scared this game would not hold up to standard, but after playing through it twice the performance was a very minimal issue. My Macbook, after a fwe hours of playing, would cause lagspikes in the game and the frame rate would drop. This would be a sign to turn of the game and take a break, and return once my laptop had cooled down. Wish I could play for the first time again, can't wait for the DLC and sequel!

Lies of P achievmentsThe game runs great on mac m2 max, It would have been perfect if it had Game Center Achievments included in the game like other AAA games. Achievments like Playstation Trophies give the game a more complete experience

2023 M2 Macbook Air M2There are some strange comments about this game.
Along with Stray, the 2 Resident Evil games and Grid Legends, this again feels like a huge AAA title on MacOS.
Rich musical score, incredible graphics and excellent gameplay (using an X-Box One controller) Up to now, I have experienced no issues and the Lies of P has been intruiging.
I have never played a Souls game before, so the only thing I can really compare this to is God Of War, which is really shares many similarities, albeit not quite as gruesome.
It runs effortlessly on my Mac - I also recommend some decent headphones for the atmospheric sounds and music, even down to the pitter patter of the rain. Its more up there in terms of price with other AAA titles, but don't let that put you off (its the same price on Steam)
Fair play to NEOWIZ, you have done an excellent job with this title and I hope you bring more!
