★★★★★ First, I tried to access the Sept issue using my laptop……using www.trains.com/trn/mylibrary , it did not work as it wanted me to subscribe where as I am already a subscriber…..Then I tried www.trains.com/trn/iOSapp,…
★★★★★ I even used my alternate email and once again it Indicated my log in information was incorrect.
★★★★★ I can no longer use my app to purchase issues, it will not take my password and there's nowhere to reset my password on the app?

★★★★★ Going to their site and registering for the trial period is just the same.

★★★★★ This train has crashed and cannot be put back on the tracks
★★★★★ Several magazines I had purchased don't even show up as available for download and the app continually crashes, obviously no testing was done before it was released.
★★★★★ I love the magazine but hate the app, it keeps crashing and making hard to reading my issues.

★★★★★ The new look of the latest version is sluggish and slow (even on my iPhone x) and I cannot log in to restore my issues or get new ones.
★★★★★ With the new update, all my old issues are gone.
★★★★★ Kalmbach must have hired some ex-Microsoft developers because they took something that looked and worked well (the App) and made it ugly and less useful. Nothing is available off-line so we can now forget about…

First, I tried to access the Sept issue using my laptop……using www.trains.com/trn/mylibrary , it did not work as it wanted me to subscribe where as I am already a subscriber…..Then I tried www.trains.com/trn/iOSapp, and got to a page that I had to download the app from Apple, and then had to sign in…..I tried using my account number as my ID and it was rejected, then I tried my email and got to the app in Apple….when I opened the app, it took me to the library but then I could only tap on contents and the article on BigBoy came up,….I couldn’t do anything after that. I do not want to get my magazine via an online app and will cancel my subscription if that becomes the norm. And I will to get the app to read on my cell phone even it it really works, too damn small to read anything. One can’t “thumb through” the magazine like I can with a paper copy……I acknowledge going digital may save you $$$$ but it will also cause you to lose subscribers……I can’t just p[ick up the magazine and open it to where I last left off with the digital version……The digital version you currently have is totally unacceptable….Norman Baullinger
Swiping through articles is easy, but it’s frustrating not to be able to zoom in to the photos. Often there are details that just need to be seen in greater detail. This is one area where the app could outperform print, if only the feature was enabled like it is on most news apps. I see some negative reviews from five or six years ago, but as of 2026, it seems that most of those complaints have been addressed. If only the photos could be presented in a more usable format, the app would be so much better.
I’m trying to access my digital Sept issue because there is no hard copy. No luck. The website wants me to upgrade to a “super member” status or pay $49 to some web site company to fix my problem. Not gonna happen like me not renewing my subscription after having received TRAINS since 1964 off this isn’t corrected.
The best part is this: I can easily read issues of the magazine. On Trains.com when I zoom in to read anything, the pages jump ahead making reading on my iPhone impossible. This doesn’t happen with the app. Downside: the app doesn’t contain any Classic Trains magazines or any archive material. Until the app is expanded, its limited content makes the app disappointing to use.
The app used to work perfectly. Now it just won’t even open.
