WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • Every EMT should have this app installed in case you need it. 5★, Oct 24, 2025
  • My only dislike is I wish it kept track of how long each person was actively doing compressions. 4★, Jan 25, 2021
  • Please add the watch app. 5★, Feb 7, 2019
  • Cut the "Defibrillator" and "Epinephrine" buttons in half and slightly reduce the size of the heart so you can add a few more buttons: 1. 5★, Nov 2, 2016
  • Just please add an amiodarone button to the next version. 4★, Jul 8, 2016

Useful, it helps22%

5 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ ive been a recorder multiple times and i work at cardiac floor, this helps us keep track of next due pulse checks and epis.
★★★★★ Great just for keeping tempo, but doesn't actually keep count of your cycles or tell you when to do breaths. It would be excellent if that feature could be added. One of the most difficult parts of CPR is keeping count…
★★★★★ The lay out is crazy simple, setting a default metronome compression rate is great and the secondary ques for rhythm checks and epinephrine are also helpful.
Easy to use13%

3 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ This is hard during the chaos of a code, writing multiple times and notes on a gloved hand is all you got and not easy.
★★★★★ I love how simplistic and easy to use it is with easy big buttons to push.
★★★★★ The lay out is crazy simple, setting a default metronome compression rate is great and the secondary ques for rhythm checks and epinephrine are also helpful.
Accurate, great results9%

2 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ While there are devices that provide feedback of CPR quality, this app would do in the absence of those gadgets.
Fast9%

2 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ It's amazing how fast CPR is being done when compared to when you activate the metronome!
★★★★★ Too often people do chest compression too fast, sometimes with compression rate up to 150 in many of the codes I have seen.

Terrible sounding

Sounds terrible needs to be updated. The extra sound makes it sound like the app is messed up.

★★★★★Aug 25, 2026
Good Idea, poor quality

A simple app that can be configured to operate at the push of a single button in an emergency is a good idea. Unfortunately, the beep cannot be adjusted, and when the app is launched a second time, the sound is distorted and comes out with a crackling noise. Special features are secondary, but a clock and a counter for delivered shocks and reanimation cycles would be helpful.

★★★★★Jan 23, 2026
Weird sound

I used to love this app but now it has a weird scratchy noise after every beat. It has become a distraction so I’ve quit using it on codes. I’ve tried updating. It has happened on two devices. Otherwise it was a great app

★★★★★Oct 24, 2025
Amazing!!

Every EMT should have this app installed in case you need it. Just used it last night on a code. Really helped the crew..

★★★★★Jul 25, 2025
Amateurish

Every metronome chirp is followed by a burst of static. The defibrillator/rhythm check button isn’t logically named as each check doesn’t prompt a shock. Neither the rhythm check nor epinephrine counters provide an audible signal.

★★★★★Jul 10, 2025
Falling quality

Have you used this for years and it has been fantastic. However now there is a terrible noise with the metronome I’m unable to fix, and every other user I know has the same issues.

Store description

CPR Tempo provides audio and visual cues to aid the timing of chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Timers are also provided for rhythm checks after defibrillator shocking and for epinephrine administration. The American Heart Association recommends a rate of 100 compressions per minute during CPR. This is difficult to maintain without audio cues, especially as the rescuer tires. ER nurse and Army Reservist MAJ Don Kyle shared with Frozen Ape about our metronome app Tempo is being used for this purpose. We have since worked with Don to create a specialised app, including the following bonus features: - Timer with visual and audio cues for rhythm checks - Timer with visual and audio cues for Epinephrine administration - Log of each resuscitation event detailing each action taken and location of event (location services required) - Configurable CPM (compressions per minute) from 100 to 120 - Configurable epinephrine interval from 3 to 5 minutes Disclaimer: This app follows standards recommended by the American Heart Association. Do not use this app if these standards do not align with your medical practice. Please familiarize yourself with this app, including the tutorial, and verify the settings before using the app in an actual resuscitation event. Frozen Ape Pte. Ltd. is not liable for mishaps due to the misuse of, or malfunctioning of the app.
