Useful but not as good as your Ascendo-VidaLingua on iPhones!!

I have your Ascendo "VidaLingua" Italian/English dictionary on my iPhone. It is great! If you start entering any English or Italian word, the look ahead feature will find a superset list of words in both English and Italian almost instantly. The cross references are excellent. The conjugations are excellent! Your "One World Dictionary" has only a subset of the "VL" word database. It does not have as an extensive English or Italian word database compared to the "VL" superset. Your "VL" verbs show the 14 Tenses, plus the infinitive, present participle, past participle, and gerund. "OWD" provides the 14 Tenses, but not the four additional verb forms (infinitive, present participle, past participle, and gerund). Also, if you search 'amaroso' using "VL", you get both the Noun and the Adjective as separate entries with excellent translation information!! But with "OWD" you only get the Adjective (no Noun entry!). I think that you should provide the same iPhone "VL" application database for Apple iMac, Apple MacBook, and iMac users. I realize that the iPhone and Macs have different operating systems, but your software engineers should be able to port the iPhone "VL"version to Mac OS fairly easily. Do you have plans to port your "VL" iPhone iOS version to Mac OS? If yes, when? Thank you.

Useful, but mistake found on first use

I downloaded the app to look up a single german word to make sure my english interpretation and german spelling was correct. Although the word I was looking up in it's primary meaning was represented correctly, further content using the same word was wrong. So, now I"m wondering how many mistakes are embedded that I can't figure out... Ill try to reach the company to make them aware of this mistake.

Many words not found in Spanish. It cannot translate a simple phrase like Cómo te llamas? Cannot search in the phrase book. Very basic interface, no crosslinks. The Mac Dictionary, which came free with your iMac, is much better. True it doesn't have a phrase book but One Worlds is not any good.

Very limited

This dictionary lacks many words that are commonly used in speaking. For example “draguer” to dredge. Does not indicate other definitions such as to flirt, to pick up. Also does not appear to define slang expressions.

Resroucefull little tool

This is an invaluable tool for me. Yes, it could have more words in it, but I love the fact that I can look up a verb in Italian, or Spanish and see how to properly conjugate that verb. I work in Italian, and consequently am learning Italian. I use this tool on a regular basis. It doesn’t have every word I need, but it is extremely useful. It is free (not even ads), give it a try. You will love it. Also in Preferences you can check the box to show paid version words… there are all those words I was looking for... I haven’t paid from them yet. I cannot think of a better way to give away your very resourceful dictionary for FREE and still make a living. I personally think it is a very nice app. I keep them on to remind me if I really need to, I can always buy the full app with more words.
