HOW SURE ARE WE
Small app: combines its grossing ranks with ratings growth (43 new ratings a month on average since launch). Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2.6 times, so the range is wide. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Crashes and freezes11%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ The app frequently crashes, resets to the first article if the user multitasks and goes to another app for a minute, constantly loses its place, goes back to the top of the list while reading farther down the list,…
★★★★★ Doesn't work anymore on 3.2.2. Please fix it.
Missing features11%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ The news aggregators lack perspective on the needs of the readers for context and clarity, by delivering content which is vague and obtuse.
★★★★★ I kept clicking to read article instead of redirect and it still kept redirecting me here! I don't want to download a junk app just to use one time.
WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • Thus, the app and servers need a serious overhaul, to improve the speed of content access. 2★, May 21, 2014
  • The ui needs a few tweaks with buttons and interactions but overall a great app. 5★, Oct 25, 2011

★★★★★ The app works consistently well, the content is just as pertinent, and the format of the app is very easily useable, clean, and clear.
★★★★★ Nice, clean, easy to use interface.
★★★★★ Excellent navigation and presentation. I use it as first source of daily news. Center to center left content. With apps like daft.ie, done deal.ie and journal.ie, the iPad experience in Ireland is noticeably better…

Far left propaganda

So unfairly bias. Country crying out for middle ground

Martin

I find your reporting very pro- British. If someone mentions ‘the north of Ireland’ you will change it to Northern Ireland, why? What you are doing is what the Brit’s want - portray the 6 counties as a different country oblivious to the thousands of Irish people who see it as much a part of Ireland as cork or Kerry. If you want to be viewed as an independent and honest news app then quote people in what and how they say things not as you would want them to say it. Actually, I’d love to know the answer to this question - are you instructed/told you MUST revere to the north of Ireland as Northern Ireland and change people’s reference to NI using any other term????
