HOW SURE ARE WE
Not in any grossing chart, so this comes from ratings growth (0.6 new ratings a month on average since launch): revenue grows with new ratings, more slowly for apps that collect ratings fast. Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2 times, and big earners tend to come out low. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

I say lyrics from super famous songs and none of them show up. It’s crazy. No wonder this app was free.

I have used this app from time to time when I hear an old song but cannot remember the words. More than 95% of the time it is able to find the lyrics to it.

Not impressed. Typed in “Jenny I got your” and the app is searching for over 2 min. Put that into google and less than 1 sec got the song and YouTube link. Uninstalled

Store description

That one line has been looping in your head all day, but the title just won't come. You don't have the melody to hum and the song isn't playing, so a listen-and-match app is no help. All you have are a few words you remember. That's exactly what MyLyrics is built for. Type the fragment you recall, even if it's misremembered or out of order, and MyLyrics finds the real song behind it. Every result is checked against the official iTunes music catalog before you see it, so you get a genuine track with real artist, album, and artwork, never a made-up guess. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Find a song from a half-remembered lyric, not a recording • See verified matches with confidence, so you know which one is really yours • Play a 30-second preview to confirm it on the spot • Open the track in the Store, or save it to come back to later • Discover where you've heard it: films, TV shows, trailers, and games it has appeared in THE "WHERE HAVE I HEARD THIS" PART Some songs feel familiar for a reason. For many tracks, MyLyrics shows the movies, series, trailers, and games they've featured in, so the mystery line finally clicks into place. BUILT TO BE HONEST No account. No paywall. No free trial that quietly charges you. MyLyrics is free, and it only ever shows you songs that actually exist, because every match is verified against a real music catalog first. Stop scrolling through search results for "song that goes like this." Remember a line, find the song, and get back to listening.
