App won’t respond

I’m not sure what’s happened but after recent updates the Telegraph app won’t respond on my iPhone. I followed a link from my email to the latest news, I get transferred to the app as previously with the headline page of the story, a picture and the first paragraph or so of the text showing and all Icons as usual at the bottom but the story won’t scroll and nothing else works either. I can’t even close the app with the X in the corner. I have to flick up to get the home screen and shut the app down from there. I tried opening the app directly without using an email link but the same thing happens. I can view the Telegraph via the webpage but it keeps asking me to open the app! UPDATE The developers responded with a suggestion that I might be being redirected to the website version rather than the app. I believe this might be the case. I removed the app, cleared my browser cache, shut down the phone, restarted it, reloaded the app then followed the link on the email as before - this time with no problems. Still not sure why it happened but it seems the app itself wasn’t to blame.

Still no fix for quickly scrolling back to the top of the screen. Pathetic.

In fact, not only is there no fix for quickly scrolling back to the top of the screen by tapping the top of the screen, which should be standard functionality, it now doesn’t even work on the app homepage. The app is frustrating to use and the developers seem to be clueless.

Topical Telegraph
