Great for studying the Bible and theology

I love this app for diving deeper into the Bible. Each word in the original language is just one "hold" away, which sometimes protected me from coming to false conclusions, since the same word in my language was used for two different words in the original language. I like the possibility to have all the commentaries just there in on place, conduct word studies, etc. One of my favorite features is the automatic detection of Bible book citations (e.g., "Joh 3:16"), which creates a link to the passage for easy lookup. The possibility to use AI to search through the books I own in order to find relevant answers to questions, is a very sensible use of AI, I feel. I don't have to blindly trust whatever it spits out. Instead, it leads me to the authors, I already trust and shows me what they are saying (incl. a reference, so I can read the original passage, which I would always encourage people to to). There are some quirky things in this app as well. Sometimes selecting a verse by double-tapping does not work and requires a restart of the app. The small audio player's layout breaks, when showing/hiding the navigation bar. When looking up too many verses in commentaries in the "quick view panel" (i.e. when selecting a verse in the text), that panel sometimes just closes and needs to be re-opened. This is a bit annoying when you have a longer commentary on a verse, since the scroll position is lost. The navigation times to navigate between different tabs feel soooo slow at times, which unconsciously makes me use less tabs at times. All in all, I really love this app and the opportunities it provides. I would love for the quirks to be fixed, but the 5 stars are deserved even in the current state.

Großartig

Das neuste Update macht die App noch viel besser. Man muss sich etwas umgewöhnen hat aber das was man braucht auf einen Blick bzw „Klick“. Aber klar Logos war schon vorher die beste Bibel-Software. Wer nichts bezahlen möchte bekommt mit der kostenlosen Version und den monatlichen kostenlosen Büchern schon einiges.
