★★★★★ Hello I'm from Ireland living in the US for nearly 30 years I have a payed subscription to the Irish Independent app for years and have always used the newspaper to stay current on what's happening but I have lost…
★★★★★ There charging now for this app ,cost more than a monthly netflix subscription umm where is the delete button adios !!
★★★★★ That someone at the Indo thought it OK to charge $2.99 for this app is a sign that 'Ripoff Ireland' is alive and well.
Worse after an update20%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ This has happened since the most recent redesign.
★★★★★ However, the bigger issue with this design update is it introduced a bug such that you cannot close the app.
★★★★★ New update is faster and more usable.
Crashes and freezes13%

★★★★★ App crashes as soon as you click on a story to read.
Too many ads13%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Every single time you open a news story, a dog ad pops up... EVERY TIME! I've had this app for years. Deleting it now. Even if you don't mind the terrible experience, the indo has clearly decided to be a gossip…
★★★★★ The version that released on 4/19 now has ads and if I've paid for an app then i don't expect to be ads.

Lying by not reporting the truth

Hello I’m from Ireland living in the US for nearly 30 years I have a payed subscription to the Irish Independent app for years and have always used the newspaper to stay current on what’s happening but I have lost trust and will not continue to support this newspaper because you don’t cover what’s really going on in the country about how small rural communities are being destroyed by immigration you’re no longer a trustworthy source you don’t cover the real stories of people losing their hotel s there jobs their communities are being destroyed while you write stories about unimportant issues you are a bought and paid for one sided rag that can’t be trusted to cover the real issues

It’s like living back home. I read it first thing in the morning before the American news. Love this paper. It keeps me connected. Great reading. I love the podcasts. You all do a fantastic job. Keep up the great work. Thanks for all you do

Review

The Indo is not the newspaper it used to be. The newspaper is not balanced and fair. It has become a liberal and gossip newspaper. The standard of journalism has fallen at the Indo. I still enjoy it’s sports coverage.

Bad idea

Not going to waste much time on this. I did try to write some thing before but required a name on the piece and every name I tried it said that it was already taken and I tried some very unusual names so it’s clear to me that you’re not that interested in what I have to say. However, I will tell you this, the number of stories that are marked as premium is ridiculous know what our newspaper does this I can read the New York Times I can read the Wall Street Journal body independent marks so many stories as premium you don’t get to read much of anything that’s in the paper at all which is just crazy.
