App update is horrible

I’ve had this app since 2015 when it used to be free and loved it so much that I agreed to keep it even when they started charging for it. However, the latest update where it was moved to a new platform is horrible. Episodes should up duplicate times. Episodes marked as watched show back up as if they weren’t watched. Episodes show up before they air sometimes as much as 7 days in advance. The new platform needs a lot of work in order to meet the standards that I’m used to from this app. If the issues are not resolved by my next renewal I may consider dropping the app after using it for 11 years.

Folders Breathes New Life Into App - But Still Very Buggy

The Folders update just installed and I started messing around with it. It is already a game changer. I did need to read in app prompt instructions to understand how they work, but it was simple after that. I was at first weary I couldn’t move the Folders to the top of my list of shows, but then I discovered the Folder Filter which makes it easy to view each filter. It would be nice if the app remembered the last view I had so at startup it can take me straight there at next launch. This cleans up so much clutter when you have so many shows added. Love this update. Edit: Unfortunately the new Folders are still buggy. Sorting is a big issue and eventually messes up all your sorting. I started having shows leap out of folders. So I’m hoping the next update will patch this.

Update: Regarding the NEW version of the app.

My previous review was five stars. Update: Now two stars. The new version of this app is slower to open. There is a non-working widget (for today’s shows) on this iPad. They are slow to respond using the support email address. And the swiping action? I can only get it to swipe back and forth between daily scheduled shows…one show to another. How the heck do you swipe between episodes of a single show? Also, the shows seem to be appearing before they actually air in my Eastern time zone, which is kind of confusing compared to before which made total sense, and also sometimes I check a show off in either Watch or Schedule (today) after viewing the show and it doesn’t get checked off in both logs. I mean..it was purrfect before. Why did it have to go corporate??? Is this going to cost me even more now yearly? Hmmmm….maybe it’s time to look harder for another TV watching app.

No Calendar Integration

This would be five stars if it had Apple Calendar integration. There are other TV show apps like this one that have Apple Calendar integration, but they don’t have all the neat features that this app has. I’ll give it 6 to 8 months, and if there’s no added Apple integration, I will probably cancel the subscription and look for something else.

NEW - Swipe between shows: on a show page opened from your Library, Watch List or Schedule, swipe left or right to go to the next or previous show. - Swipe between episodes: open an episode from your Watch List or Schedule and swipe to the next show's episode. - A quick summary under each show's title: whether it's returning, how many episodes you have left, and when the next one airs. - Mark All Unwatched, in each show's menu. IMPROVED - Air times that match TV listings. US network and cable shows listed at "8/7c" now show at 8 PM in Eastern and Pacific time (Alaska and Hawaii too) and 7 PM in Central and Mountain time. Live shows like SNL keep their real start time. - Apple TV+ episodes show their actual release time. - New episodes join your Watch List when they're released, not earlier in the day. - Episodes that haven't aired yet no longer show as ready to watch, and upcoming episodes with a date now appear on your Schedule. - Season labels show in full ("S2026"). - The Schedule shows a loading indicator the first time it opens, and episodes land on the right day. - Faster and smoother, especially when switching tabs. - Fixes a crash and makes iCloud sync more reliable.
