In the past, the main screen was full of user-created AI characters. Now when I check it, all it has are major AI models from the various developers, divided into a few categories such as official bots, budget friendly bots, search bots, image bots, etc. The only characters I can find are when I look at my history where I can see the characters I chatted with in the past. Other than that, there's no breadcrumb Trail that allows me to go back to the full character listing. So, if you want a major model aggregator, this may be the app for you, but if you want the "fun" or "niche" user-created characters, you may be disappointed.

**⭐ 1/5: Price quadrupled, notice came too late, no way to cancel** Avoid Poe. Last year I paid $49.95. This year I was charged $199.95, four times as much, with no advance warning. The only notice of the new price arrived the day *after* my subscription renewed, when it was too late to dispute the amount or change my plan. I decided to cancel so it wouldn't happen again. Poe's website has no way to cancel; it just sends you to Quora, which owns Poe. Quora's site has no cancel option either, no refund process, and no customer service I could reach. I finally disputed the charge with my credit card company and got a full refund. If this happens to you, do the same. I signed up a year ago for $50 to compare what was out there. That was a reasonable price for a trial. What I didn't sign up for was a renewal at four times the price, notice after the fact, and no way out. Nothing at signup suggested any of that was coming. Look elsewhere. If you want to try AI models, subscribe to them directly, where you can see what you're paying and cancel when you want.
