HOW SURE ARE WE
Not in any grossing chart, so this comes from ratings growth (72 new ratings a month on average since launch): revenue grows with new ratings, more slowly for apps that collect ratings fast. Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2 times, and big earners tend to come out low. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

Bugs, things not working27%

★★★★★ Never goes off for a seizure. Always goes off when normal.
★★★★★ I have this connected to my Apple Watch and for the most part it works great but it sometimes starts randomly starting the countdown as if I'm hitting the alert button. It's a frequent issue that needs to be resolved.…
★★★★★ Failed to alert guardians when a seizure happened.

★★★★★ You cant cancel your subscription and it did not detect my events
★★★★★ As stated, the second my alert goes off despite a 30 second delay to cancel it updates everyone immediately.
★★★★★ Doesn't accurately record the actual length of seizures, or even use the biological data available from the Apple Watch to show on the record or “Journal”.
Slow, laggy, battery6%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I love the app as they monitor my seizures to my husband, but I have to recharge my watch 4 times a day in order to use it!
★★★★★ App only monitors BPM real time and needs the full watch battery to only get thru 10 hours.
★★★★★ Drains your battery quickly, when I have it on the iwatch I have to recharge it again the same day, yet I can go over 3 days without it turned on.

★★★★★ We need to contact someone for support.

★★★★★ Didn't detect anything else & there's no way to remove it unless you get rid of the app.
WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • I have PNES, and this app helps me track all my episodes, my one feedback is that I wish when it came to “what kind of seizure” part of the log there was an option for PNES seizure. 5★, Mar 17, 2026
  • I wish the app itself had more detailed HR data beyond range during a monitoring session and active bpm. 5★, Jan 19, 2026
  • It's been great for be, but the timer for seizure tracking needs to be lengthened beyond an hour… PNES type seizures can last much longer, please make that correction. 5★, Dec 20, 2025
  • I want a full refund. 1★, Nov 22, 2025
  • I hope you can update to add customized text, or customize alert sounds and volume or vibrations, and so much more and def add a motion timer! 5★, Sep 9, 2025
  • it would be nice if i didnt have to pay to alert my parents when im having a seizure 3★, Aug 11, 2025
  • If anyone can help me, that would be great, this app would be great if it would connect. 1★, Aug 28, 2024
  • My events occur while sleeping only so I need a more passive monitoring mode. 3★, Sep 30, 2023

★★★★★ Edit to say: I added the paid version and it really helps.
★★★★★ It alerts and you are able to time seizures straight from the app which helps if the paramedics ask for those kind of details.
★★★★★ This has literally saved my life when I'm going to sleep and my blood pressure has dropped down to 50 thank you thank you to whoever made this
Easy to use7%

6 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ It is easy to deactivate when there is a false alarm, but not so easy that you could accidentally deactivate it during convulsions.
★★★★★ Apple says it's easy, but the hospital couldn't handle it at all and I was still post seizure so only had 4 functioning brain cells, none of which knew how to work my phone.
★★★★★ Yes, we get some false alarms, but they're easy to deactivate before contacts are notified.

Great alerts - bad battery

I love the app as they monitor my seizures to my husband, but I have to recharge my watch 4 times a day in order to use it!

False alerts

I sometimes move my hand over my head when I sleep, and apparently when I moved it, it triggered the alarm for other people. However, it didn’t beep and wake me up like it usually does. My family checked on me, but when I checked my phone and watch I had zero notifications/warnings in my end. Then 5 minutes later, the watch pops up and asks if I’ve fallen. No, I’m sleeping in bed and sitting up talking. Maybe if I had a seizure and it was a shake alert, I’d be more receptive, but I was in the middle of my bed. I then decided to try and trigger a seizure alert by shaking my arm, but nothing popped up. The only thing it seems to pick up are false alarms for some reason. I’m being told to change apps.

Ajudou bastante

Honestly best app for help

I don’t have help immediately at home often. My husband works as an EMT and OTR truck driver so he is rarely home. This alerts close friends and family if I need help and cannot call. So far it has truly been the best app yet. The free version works, you can journal notes in. Truly considering the paid version for how well I love the free version. It puts everyone around me at ease. It will however, drain your phone and or watch battery faster than otherwise experienced but that’s a small price to pay for knowing someone’s going to be aware if I’m not. Edit to say: I added the paid version and it really helps. I have enough people alerted if I seize now that I genuinely feel safer. I can also pull the reports for my heart rate. Love this app- its life changing for us ❤️

Store description

EpiCentr app is designed for individuals with seizure disorders and their caregivers. It’s intended to enhance safety and support during seizure episodes by alerting emergency contacts. It also includes a comprehensive journal to track seizures and detailed statistics reports for doctors. The app actively monitors seizure-like triggers, promptly alerting your designated emergency contacts if a seizure is suspected. Specifically, our watch app utilizes Apple HealthKit to track user’s heart rate, while leveraging the gyroscope and accelerometer on Apple Watch to monitor the user's arm motion. If a seizure-like pattern is detected, an alert is promptly sent. For immediate assistance or in case if Apple Watch is not available, manual alerts can be initiated directly from your iPhone. Additionally, the app allows you to maintain a detailed journal, effortlessly tracking triggers and recording side-effects, auras, and personal notes. Keeping all data at one place, the app provides reports with important descriptive statistics giving valuable insights to you and your healthcare provider. KEY FEATURES AND HOW TO USE THE APP: - Seizure Detection: By utilizing your Apple Watch, the app monitors various seizure-like triggers, such as motion patterns associated with tonic-clonic seizures, different types of falls, and abnormal heart rate. If any of these triggers are detected, the app initiates a delayed alert, which will be automatically sent to your emergency contacts if not manually canceled within 30 seconds. Set up automatic seizure monitoring by following the instructions provided in the app. - Manual Alerts: Activate alerts instantly from your iPhone or Apple Watch. Choose between two alert types: Help Now, which sends an immediate notification, and Delayed Help, where a 30-second countdown is initiated before sending the alert if not canceled. - GPS Location Sharing: When a help request is sent, the app automatically includes your GPS coordinates (if available) in the notifications sent to your emergency contacts. This crucial information enables them to locate you swiftly, ensuring timely and accurate assistance. Please grant location sharing permission to the app for this feature to function. - Journal: Keep track of vital information about your seizures using the app's comprehensive journal. Effortlessly monitor triggers, record side-effects, track auras, and add personal notes. Seizure records are automatically captured, and you have the option to edit or add necessary details. Over time, the app consolidates all this essential data in one convenient location, providing you and your healthcare provider with detailed reports featuring important descriptive statistics. - Roles: The app operates in two modes: one for individuals with seizure disorders and another for their caregivers. Download the EpiCentr app now to experience a new level of confidence and security in managing seizures and seeking help when it matters most.
