Don’t waste your money

This app is truly terrible! You can bring out petroglyphs far easier and much more clearly just editing the photo settings. This app made things harder to see. I have hundreds of photos, this was not just a one off. Don’t waste your money

Good app

Works great at what it does, brings out lots of hidden details that I had been missing before. If they would add a button to take a photo when in live mode it would be about perfect, it’s a pain to keep the camera focused and take a screenshot with my iPad, other than that small gripe the app is great, good job!

Store description

This app uses advanced techniques to enhance the colours in rock art to make faint drawings and stencils more visible. Techniques used include decorrelation stretch, histogram equalization, and saturation enhancement. It works on photos from your phone's gallery and also has a live video enhancement mode. The live enhancement mode lets you hold your phone over a possible site of rock art and enhances the colours in real time to help you see what's there. In this mode, you can cycle between the different enhancement techniques, and toggle the flash on/off to make it easier to view art in dark rock shelters. The photo enhancement mode lets you choose a photo from your phone's gallery and carries out the same enhancements as available in the live mode. Enhanced photos can be saved for later viewing and sharing.
