Bugs, things not working54%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ They need more updates and to fix a ton of glitches.
★★★★★ But as some have some there are a few game breaking bugs which I appreciate that they are working on.
★★★★★ It's supposed to be cross compatible but it doesn't work.
Price and subscription31%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I shouldn't have to pay 11 dollars just to play the full game. Either make the game 11 dollars or just give us the full game for free.
★★★★★ Listed in store at $5.99 but when I purchased it charged me $19.99
★★★★★ I've barely completed any games, they are disappointed with me at the waste of money, and unless they have an IPhone, I can't find even find them to play.
Crashes and freezes23%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ The vast majority of my games end in the game crashing or freezing or the AI on “hard” doing a variety of nonsensical things that make it not fun.
★★★★★ The game crashes rather consistently, and some cards like Dracula's “Do My Bidding” don't activate properly.
★★★★★ I'm stuck on the attack screen and it just hangs.
Limits, credits, locked features15%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I shouldn't have to pay 11 dollars just to play the full game.
★★★★★ It's a real bummer to pay for the game PLUS the season pass and have such incredibly limited functionality.

  • For $12 you can add a season pass which comes with 8 more character. 3★, Mar 5, 2023
  • They really need to add a 1 vs 1 local mode. 3★, Mar 5, 2023
  • None of these are terrible but should have been identified via beta testing. 4★, Mar 3, 2023
  • I wish you could stay in game after the match ends to discuss, or view the cards/board to see what other moves you could have done to learn for the future. 5★, Mar 3, 2023

The visual design is card game, but restores purchases

First, I couldn’t be happier that my season pass was restored. I really felt money had been stolen when I bought the season pass with the very first game sale then disappeared when I updated my phone/ipad, and when I emailed *multiple times* asking for it restored I heard nothing in return. I was so angry as I own the card game and generally appreciated play testing it, and meeting folks at dice tower and other conventions who seemed nice so chalked it up to an overwhelmed team with the previous development company. Also, the previous design team never responded to bug fix requests and that version was extremely buggy freezing half the time during combat especially when card boosting or special powers like Medusa’s -1 health to anyone in her area at turn start. This version is playable but has mostly slow to the point I wonder if it’s crashed, or visual issues that rely too much on my pinching and manipulating my device screen/increasing the screen rather than the game being designed optimally for mobile devices or even my iPad. It’s not good for smaller devices. I tried to increase card size or ‘look’ at the card actions which are hidden below screen when in hand and a lot of the time it didn’t respond or work. Several times I found myself playing a card from memory rather than as a new player needing the text for example. The map and characters are very minimized and mimic the card game now. I prefer when playing an app that it works/looks good as an app. I own the card game and sometimes prefer an app experience. Edit; I like the animations a lot, to be clear, and what I’d prefer is a larger zoom of the cards and the action taking place not necessarily a full video game. Just better visuals on a mobile device. The audio parts are a lot better. I hope this new development team brings better responses and solutions to customers as the previous ‘black hole’ response style bummed me out to the point I no longer wanted to play the app or invest in the card games.

Only issue and a big one

When I press and hold a card to look at info on my iPhone 18 pro max, it won’t let me select it. Sometimes it does but for most part just goes back in my hand. I wish it worked better on my phone but that is a big issue for me.

A GREAT version of the physical game!

This will definitely help my practicing! The visuals are clear and sounds are cool and mood inspiring, i loved when i defeated little red and she says “what big teeth you have!”. This will definitely be my go-to game on my phone

Excellent

I love Unmatched and this app is filling a gap in my life. Keep the expansions coming!

Cannot read the cards!

Please add a function to zoom in or increase the text size on the cards. You can zoom in on the board but not the cards. Speaking for the over 40 y/o players.

Purchases gone

I got a new phone and got the app back but I previously purchased all the characters and maps but seemingly have no way to restore my purchases…very disappointing
