Works well with ADSBee 1090U

Most of the one star reviewers are confusing this app with an app that shows air traffic using an internet connection. This app pulls data from a portable ADS-B receiver via the GDL90 protocol (sent over WiFi, not connected to the internet). When you do have one of these devices handy, the app works as described. The developer is friendly and responsive to feedback about the app whenever there are any issues or comments that I have. This app has been very helpful for testing my portable ADS-B receiver!

Can’t get it to work

No support so far. I have a Pi Aware to track aircraft. It should work if I can connect to my network. On boot up you are asked for network name. You enter that but you cannot enter the password. How can you expect to connect? I have contacted support twice, no reply. Supposed to be sable to get help and tips on Tumblr but Aerodsb has no search hits, zero. Don’t waste your money. Has anyone got this app to work or is this a scam?

Store description

Receives and displays aircraft traffic data on map from ADS-B receivers (e.g., Stratux, ADSBee, SkyEcho) which support GDL 90 protocol. It also includes an attitude and heading reference system (AHRS; if device provides data) including airspeed, altitude, and heading as well as display of METAR/TAF (one-time unlock necessary).   Please check your region for weather data reception availability first before purchasing unlock data feature. Requires GDL 90 data to be sent to (default) port 4000 via UDP (can be changed in settings). Works entirely independent from internet connection and with ADS-B receiver only.
